There is not environment for them. Just like the US Navy's blue camo uniform, it just makes it look more Navy.

Still is kind of ironic, especially because of their military posturing recently. What a better way to celebrate the defeat of a horrible empire by showing off that you too are becoming a horrible empire?

US has shows of military posturing all the time and no one here suggests the US is poised to attack some major country or do something that absolutely no one wants.
When Russia and China do it they get criticized and fear mongering begins.

This. The Peoples republic of china didnt do any super major stuff during WW2, it was the nationalist (nowadays Taiwan.)

Russia has invaded more than just Ukraine, if that's what you're referring to.
China invaded and annexed Tibet.

We don't "occupy" anyone, we have bases in countries that have agreed to let us have them. We occupied Afghanistan and Iraq but that was a large-scale police action by many Western and European nations, not just America. You could argue whether or not Iraq was justified, but it's not comparable to Russia invading Ukraine or China threatening Japan and the USN over some island they suddenly want.
They also announced that they are going to cut their military by 300,000 soldiers. But I guess that just mean more money will be funneled somewhere else.

The US has some reasonable explanation as to why we invade countries while China and Russia just do it because they're bad people?

They're actually increasing their military budget. Just focusing on fewer, better trained troops, like a more modern military.
