17-year-old Sarah of Fareham, Hants, was shocked when she saw the coin marked with the 2011 date stamped on it - which she got in change as she was buying lunch.
Sarah, who is training to be a forensic scientist, was buying lunch at at Fareham College when she spotted the temporal anomaly.
She said: 'I was just getting some food at college and thought the coin looked very shiny, so I took a closer look. I thought I had gone into the future with the markings it had. Where the date it is made was, it said 2011
I'm sure she's pulling my Legg.. :downs:
How did this make it to the news?
I've seen one of them as well, they normally date those made at the end of the year as the next year.
You just know the journalists are pretty damn bored when shit like this makes it to the news...
If I ever see that egotistical coinbitch, I'll be sure to flip her off...
This is truly a bull crap story...
She better sell it quick, no one will want it two weeks from today.
fake and gay

My friend had one of these, it's nothing special.
I wish the news companies would change, maybe pick up the pence a little bit instead of coining crappy stories like this. I mean, they could probably lay their two cents on something that clings more into the public ear.
If it was from 2012, that would be something.
Now's the time when they start making next year's money.
How the hell is this news.
This is part of the Metro's Wierd column, it's designed for silly stories like that. Saying it's a worthless piece of news is like saying the BBC's Wierd and Wonderful section (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/also_in_the_news/) should be burned at the stake.
I've seen one. It was a 50p coin dated 2011 and it had one of the 2012 London olympic designs on it.
I call bullshit
I have a bill with a talking Nixon on the front of it. Now that's news worthy.

Oh you
shove that thing on e-bay before it worth the face value....
Obviously a time traveler dropped it.
I live near there. Cool.
I've had a couple of these pass my hands this past month. It's not really news worthy :v:.
My brother has one of these for Christs sake.
Someone write a news story about me quick!
Earlier today, a corresponding geek from the web-based collective named after an uncomfortable procedure of discipline who's name we cannot mention due to how uptight news articles are had someone send in an image of an alleged "future coin", these coins are highly insiginificant and are said to be simple missprints. But a man named L. Albarus who lives in a small shanty 16 miles deep within Mississippi marshlands say that they are connected to how the soviet union and the arabian governments are looking to assassinate him due to that he holds the key to the Russian throne. More on this at 6 'o clock. Please make a big deal about it and give us money.
I have the very first dollar coin of 1989. Does that mean I can be on the news?
