Thought if there are any stage workers, show people or general floyd fans on FP that they might get a kick out of this.
Audio from the clearcom system during a show in Detroit in '71 I think, crew had to use union workers at venue not their own( hint: they where probably not super well experienced and had little time to figure out the plan )
Oh and for anyone not in the know and the video gets you confused, stage positions are from the performers perspective facing the audience.
[sp]sorry about shit animation[/sp]
"Lead guitar should be stage right"
"My right or your right?"
"STAGE RIGHT!"
I fucking lost it. They were absolutely clueless.
I just realized how stupid that question is, they both are facing the same way generally,

Regardless, that's why the term "stage X" exists. Its pretty agreed on, and removes ambiguity.
The shit animation added a real charm to it. That was hilarious
sounds like a nightmare to work with, but what was with the weird animation?
Pink Floyd have always been known for their very strange and surreal animation. This almost feels like a surreal newgrounds cartoon and I love it
yeaaa that animation was kinda charming in a way
I don't know him so I'm not worried

As a guy who works in this field I can attest to the authenticity of the situation here.
you can run into the stupidest guys at some venues through out your career, its almost a huge passing joke in the industry that you get one a year.
Wait, so is stage left my left or your left?
i feel like every industry shits on union workers but on the whole, A/V Industry guys seem to have the most problems with union guys out of any trade i've ever seen. the amount of installation or setup fuckups that happen because of a union crew instead of a contractor are immense

If serious if you're looking at the stage from the standing floor of the audience, stage left is your right. its always from the performers perspective.

It has gotten better in the last decade or so, but still you will run into "old world" venue unions that generally never learned more then they have had too. Plus unions in the entertainment industry can be huge assholes ( See IATSE ) for getting into them. Usually most shows try to aim away from using venues with unions as they will have those stereotypical incidents of "hey can you run this 100ft feeder cable as I patch?" "nope, not my job" kinda ordeals.
