• Any veggies on FP?

I've been thinking about this recently, and I'm pretty positive I can make these lifestyle changes, regardless I've no doubt it might be difficult since I've been brought up eating meat and some days I really have to try hard to remember this is the way I want to live (sounds silly, right?) but I've been so used to just picking up anything I want, so, FPers, are any of you established veggies or thinking / trying to be vegetarian and is there any advice / tips / comments / stories you can deliver? I also have no doubt PETA can be biased, and I try to look at everything with an open mind, but I wholeheartedly believe that cruelty is happening to animals, it's there, on a wide scale, and I'd rather avoid everything altogether than take the chance that this animal might have been in pain and suffering all it's life (I don't want any 'Oh boohoo' responds to this please). So, now that I'm done explaining, I'd like to finally ask, what about eggs? I love baking, would even the hardcore veggies say that free range, organic are pretty much a go-ahead?
Eggs are fine, eat em.
being vegetarian is disgusting
being vegetarian is disgusting
Now now lets not scare them away yet shall we?
Why would you wanna be something unnatural? We have canines for a reason.
being vegetarian is disgusting
Thank you for that very valid and insightful opinion - ___-
Why would you wanna be something unnatural? We have canines for a reason.
I used to use that argument, and it's pretty poor to be honest, now that I see the other side of the story. But humans do lots of unnatural things... we might have the capacity to eat meat, but I think we're built to primarily consume fruit and veg - it's healtheir for a start, cutting out all that colesterol... anyway, since I'm not going to go on a pro-veggie rampage, I'd appreciate it if people keep their own opinion to themselves.
Why would you wanna be something unnatural? We have canines for a reason.
Let them die a very awful early death, oh and burn PETA.
I bet you own something that's leather.
We have canine teeth for a reason, we're also the dominant species, so enjoy it.

Eat meat. Follow God's plan for us.
Makes a very good point about why being a vegetarian is not a good idea if you love animals.
Being vegetarian is fine, as long as I get MAH BACONS!
Heathen.
It's a waste of time and energy to be a vegitarian.
Bacon
You just blew every PETA argument ever.
Welcome to Facepunch, let me introduce you to the rabid horde :/
all men MUST CONSUME MEAT
all men MUST CONSUME MEAT
Can I consume you? You look tasty.
I'd rather avoid everything altogether than take the chance that this animal might have been in pain and suffering all it's life (I don't want any 'Oh boohoo' responds to this please).
Not to spit on you, but in my opinion it just doesn't sound logically at all. The animal is already dead, it has already been prepared for you to eat; it doesn't live just because you won't eat the meat. Beside that fact: if you really think they're living in pain, why does it bother you that it is dead? Doesn't that bring it out of the pain? Wouldn't it be a waste if you didn't eat it since it has already been processed and is ready? Just my opinion, I'm sorry if it offended you; it wasn't intentional.
