Check everywhere, Google maps, etc etc etc. edit: found one, but its not on the right side. Try to find on pointing toward Chile.
http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/americas/02/27/chile.quake.hawaii/?hpt=C1
"Sirens in Hawaii warn of possible tsunami" Possible tsunami, not guaranteed.
it would be cool if we found a webcam of it.
The amount of false alarms on those sirens is astounding, but they should still be prepared.
oh dear...
"Sirens in Hawaii warn of possible tsunami" Possible tsunami, not guaranteed.
"8.8 earthquake" It's one of the largest earthquakes to ever be recorded. And they're measuring it in FEET! usually they do it in centimeteres (see here http://www.prh.noaa.gov/ptwc/messages/pacific/2010/pacific.2010.02.27.114650.txt) its also a Pacific Wide Tsunami Warning which is the highest level.
Well, at least they are prepared.
Well, at least they are prepared.
yeah, that's why i wanna see a webcam. it'd be so cool to see a realtime wave crash through buildings.
I have an aunt that lives in Hawaii :ohdear:
my fault sorry
When is it expected to hit?
When is it expected to hit?
11:19 their time, thats 4:00 Eastern in the US.
yeah, that's why i wanna see a webcam. it'd be so cool to see a realtime wave crash through buildings.
If someone died it wouldn't be.
If someone died it wouldn't be.
Theres time to evacuate, i don't think many people will die.
"Sirens in Hawaii warn of possible tsunami" Possible tsunami, not guaranteed.
no it's a tsunami warning, they worded it wrong. it's guaranteed unless they lower it down to tsunami watch. and it is supposed to hit Oahu around 11:35am Hawaii time.
This tsuami is expected to go all the way up to alaska. Obviously, it'll be minuscule by then.
yeah, that's why i wanna see a webcam. it'd be so cool to see a realtime wave crash through buildings.
Yea, it's cool to see people's houses and businesses being wiped out and lives changed for the worse.
John Cummings, Oahu Emergency Management Department spokesman
I'm sorry. :ohdear:
Theres time to evacuate, i don't think many people will die.
Don't forget about the elderly people who won't leave their home because they've lived there all their life
Yea, it's cool to see people's houses and businesses being wiped out and lives changed for the worse.
And humans getting cars in the head, blood flying in every direction. I HAVE TO WATCH THIS
Oh god
[del]It wouldn't be for another three hours, anyway.[/del] Oh so very late. :frown: I really hope nothing happens. I lived on Oahu for nine months, have some friends there. :ohdear:
