hope they didn't add unit queues (which were added in the Rise of Rome expansion to the original game), the best part about multiplayer in this game was painting the entire map with buildings to build units quickly

Hmm not sure how I feel about the unit remodels, in the AoE2 HD remake all the old units were re-rendered in higher resolution but clearly came from original assets because they matched the old style. These new models look totally different and don't match the the old style very well at all. They are certainly much higher res, but they look kind of out of place against the terrain and buildings, at least when zoomed in.

This is what it should've been when i bought the HD edition back ago. IMO.

I prefer AoE3 to AoE2 and I am not ashamed... With that said, for a remaster, was it really necessary to keep the cheesy animations from 20 years ago? I know it's nostalgia and such, but still...

It's almost like GTA in a sense. Too bad it has troubles running on Win 10.
