I saw this on bbc news but i can't find a source for it so if anyone finds it i'll edit it in.
The bbc did a news report explaining how a 12 yr old boy helped police capture a drug dealer. The dealer had injured his legs escaping his home and had tried to swim accross a lake away from the cops. this is when the kid offerd to row the cops out into the lake after the criminal in his rowing boat. They managed to capture the criminal and the boy was pronounced a hero on telly.
But this made me laugh, in front of the hero 12 year old the reporter went on to explain that the criminal had since escaped hospital and was on the loose.
They repeated the report an hour later and in the second report they didn't tell you he'd escaped which was a shame because i wanted to laugh at it again. It's like an enid blyton novel gone somewhat wrong.
If in two weeks time this boy is dead i win a bet :)
thanks b-hazard

What an awesome kid.

[editline]03:53PM[/editline]

He does not look 12.
He also looks stoned.
I bet the drug dealer is going to carve a hole in that kid's rowboat.

I heard this report on the morning and was laughing. i can't remember but im pretty sure they said 12, i remember thinking he looked older than they said he was anyway.

That's a lot of weed, also since the kid is in year 8 he would probably be almost 13.
He was growing and selling weed, therefore that kid is a fucking faggot and should have let the man get away because he has done nothing wrong.
If the dealer were selling something that was actually bad then I would feel differently, but since the news report states that only cannabis was involved, I hate this kid.
It's a shame i couldn't post footage of the reprt. I can't really do it justice. The reporter tells everyone that the criminals escaped hospital and is on the loose. while the kids standing right behind him and can hear everything

He must be from Utah.

I doubt that he would somehow know that the man swimming across the lake with police in persuit was a drug dealer specifically selling cannabis, for all he knew it could have been a murderer.
Apart from that, has anyone noticed that the boat in the photo is full of water?

Of course. I didn't mean to imply that it's his fault, because it isn't, I just hate the fact that he assisted in it. It's obvious that he had no prior knowledge of what was really going on, and that he only sought to do good in helping the police apprehend a suspect, however, I hope he at least feels remorse now knowing the details of the situation. It's all well and good to help the police because in most cases they're trying to do us all some good, but in this case I disagree with the fact that what this man has done is a crime so I feel differently about it.
Being entirely ignorant of the situation at hand, like the boy in the report, I like to think that I would have done the same. If I knew what they were chasing him for, though, I wouldn't have spoken up and if the police noticed I had a boat I'd tell them to go fuck themselves because cannabis isn't bad.

I wouldn't think the average 12 year old would have such an opinion on cannabis, most 12 year old's are simply told that "all illegal drugs are bad" and think the same way.

And it sucks that it has to be this way. Kids aren't that stupid. If they were presented the actual information and allowed to come to their own conclusions, it wouldn't have to be this way. Instead, they are lied to for no reason other than to support the lie.
Most 12 year olds I know are aware that alcohol is nothing but bottled bullshit, domestic disputes in a can, etc. In my experience, the use of alcohol has resulted in nothing but negativity, and I felt the same way when I was a kid. These feelings aren't the result of propaganda and lies; I was never lied to about alcohol, I came to the conclusion that it's bad based on my own observations of real life situations. If kids were allowed to do the same thing about weed, I'm sure they'd feel the same way any other logical person does about it.
Future Badass in the making.
Oh he rowed the police, the cops are even too lazy to row themselves.
They were busy shooting guns and making siren sounds

and they can't swim or are scared to get wet.

Let's ignore the fact that you know, it's freezing cold and very very deep and that you could potentially drown.
woop woop 12 year old fucks drug dealers life forever hail the hero
They could just wait at the other side of the lake, they have a car...
Kid's a dick. I feel bad for the drug dealer.
Fuck you kid, he was only dealing some weed.
He escaped from hospital? How? Wouldn't the police want to ensure they keep their catch?
Fuck you kid, he was only dealing some weed.
and fleeing captivity.
and fleeing captivity.
Which he shouldn't of been in since he was only dealing marijuana.

If you believe so strongly in its legalization, why don't you just petition for it to be legalized/write your congressman, or move to a place where it is legal instead of just doing it over and over, having many people arrested, and just saying "well it shouldn't be illegal!" It doesn't make sense, because even if you are caught and you say it should be legal, you might go to jail.
Just move to another country. Or just grow it yourself and keep it to yourself or with some buds.
12 year olds: doing the job British police could never do :cop:
