He wants control." http://www.nbc.com/the-blacklist/ The Blacklist is an American drama series that premiered on NBC on September 23, 2013. On October 4, 2013, NBC gave a back-nine-order, filling out the series' first season. 24 meets Homeland meets Silence of the Lambs - so the critics say. Plot: Raymond "Red" Reddington, one of the FBI's most wanted fugitives, surrenders at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C.. He claims the FBI and he have the same interests, that is, getting rid of dangerous criminals and terrorists. Reddington will co-operate, but insists he will speak only to Elizabeth Keen, a rookie FBI profiler. Keen questions Reddington's sudden interest in her, despite his claim she is very special. In the last two decades, he has made a list of criminals and terrorists he believes matter the most; a list the FBI doesn't know exists. Reddington calls it "The Blacklist." Watched the 2 first episodes, looks really generic. James Spader rocks anyway.
Spader is really the highlight of this, he's fantastic
Not even James Spader can make this watchable. It's just so boring and lifeless.
Watching it for Spader.
Diego and Boone are shaky. But Spader.
Really liking Spader. The FBI dudes are just hilariously bad at their job though.
It's now called Spader's Crusaders, apparently.
yeah this show isn't all too exciting but i'll watch it for spader, since he just spends the entire episode being a boss and telling everyone to essentially eat their own shit over and over.
He was certainly quite awesome in the latest one.
Part of me feels like they made this series because it's almost the exact same plot they're going to do with the next few seasons of Hannibal.
Well actually Hannibal has [sp]some time left since he won't be caught until sometime in Season 3, with S4 being Red Dragon[/sp]
NBC’s The Blacklist just broke a DVR ratings record, becoming the first broadcast TV show to ever add more than 6 million viewers thanks to playback over its first seven days of release (full chart for all shows below). Nielsen just released its full DVR data for the second week of the broadcast season, and James Spader’s Monday night freshman drama went from 11.4 million viewers on its premiere night (including first-night DVR playback) to 17.9 million for its first full seven days. In the adult demo, The Blacklist was also one of the biggest gainers, percentage wise — jumping 67 percent.
http://insidetv.ew.com/2013/10/20/the-blacklist-dvr-record/
I could see why. It's a very easy show to pick up, worked for me, at least.
