You can still do just guards against guard breaks. the only catch is that you have to put in the practice and experience to learn the timing. Once you do though, you will be able to easily punish almost anything if you have the reactions, even unblockables.

Hilde is looking really good too. Fast, long range and short range capabilities. Not sure about her damage though.
When are Japanese fighting games going to realise that it's not actually compulsory to add lasers and lighting to every single attack?
I mean, Sometimes, a swish noise, a crunch of bone and maybe a little blood would be enough.

Japan isn't big on violence, especially when almost every single fighting game except for mortal kombat is trying to sell their game to a broad audience. Anyways, I think the hit sparks and effects add a lot to the charm that is a part of fighting games.

What about the epileptic audience?
I don't remember Ezio screaming out SLOPPY after every shot with his crossbow
Has crossbow
Uses it as a mace
Wow this game crept up on me. I don't even love the gameplay that much - maybe I get frustrated too easily, but the bonus levels in SC2 made me weep tears of blood - but the character creation looks amazing. If anyone buys it when it comes out, tell me if it's as good as it looks.
too bad i'm fucking terrible at fighting games besides ssbb

SC real easy to get into. The combos and shit are all fairly simple inputs. I played 4 religiously and talked my roommate into getting it. After a few asswhoppings he took a day to learn a character and we were pretty evenly matched.
also calling ssbb a fighting game is like calling portal an fps
it technically is one, but in the most basic sense of the term
