Well, this is one of the least stupid things I've heard a republican say about gays... I guess they're learning?

I think that the difference between homosexuality and alcoholism is that one effects a basic psychological need, and another effects what one does purely for pleasure (until it becomes a physiological addiction). Someone who is attracted to the same sex will probably feel weird having an intimate relation with someone of the opposite sex, and thus it is harder to fufill the need to feel loved. I dont think an alcoholic has no desire to drink water if they are thirsty.
