In the aftermath of the tornadoes that devastated parts of the Midwest, television evangelist Pat Robertson is adding his two cents about the situation. Not enough people prayed, he said — because if they had, God would have intervened.During an episode on The 700 Club, Robertson questioned why people would knowingly live in tornado-prone areas to begin with. “Why did you build houses where tornadoes were apt to happen?” he asked.
Then, when asked about people wondering why God didn’t intervene during such a tragic disaster, Robertson responded, “If enough people were praying, [God] would intervene. You could pray, Jesus stilled the storm, you could still storms.”
Robertson is no stranger to controversial remarks. In 2010, he blamed the earthquake in Haiti on the country’s “pact with the devil,” and prior to that, he suggested Hurricane Katrina was God’s way of punishing Americans.
you athiest fuckers are destroying this country, why won't you pray?????
fucking athiests
read as robert pattison
Ok...I find that comment about hurricane katrina fucking horrendous. I'm sure there were people who did pray in every event this idiot is spewing about and it doesn't look like they were spared either.
Thats funny I saw a few videos on the news of people in the path of the storms screaming at god to protect them.
How hard is hard enough?
And his opinion is worth a damn why?
How long will they be allowed to spew this hurtful bullshit? I don't care that this is their belief, it's not mine or that of others and to fucking tell people it's their own fault for not following his belief is downright cruel.
Wait, so does that mean that if I pray hard enough he'll get struck by lightening?
... or if I don't pray at all, a tornado will land on his house? This feels a bit catch-22 if you ask me :v:

Seems to me, that they prayed hard enough and was hit.

That guy is an asshole, this guy is an idiot.
If you want to insult someone's beliefs, at the very least don't sink to their level.
I think this guy is starting to doubt his faith but can't simply accept the fact that his prayers are useless, so his screwed up brain came to the conclusion that it has to be everyone else!
Why would an infallible god change his mind because we want him to anyway?
We would we even need to pray if he's all knowing?
Why are there tornadoes in the first place if he's benevolent?

Not in the slightest bit relevant. All we know is that people have had their homes wrecked, so let's focus on fixing that rather than have existential debates.
I mean, come on. It just doesn't matter at this point.
Yeah, praying will always help! Remember when it stopped the bubonic plague in it's tracks?
We didn't pray hard enough, so god decided to kill some of us to show who's boss.
Whoa slaves to god much?
At first I thought "What the fuck does a sparkling vampire know about God?", but I reread the title.

Sorry, I'm trying to wrap my head around this idiots thought processes.

Because God is an abstract fictional entity.
What we know, or have heard about God, came through human lips.
Why are there tornadoes in the first place?
Because Earth's cool like that..

He doesn't exist
So that's why God is smashing them into little grease spots :(
Pray hard or go home.

So much for the Chaos Theory.
Why is it even worth posting articles about anyone or anything on the 700 club? they're all a bunch of old bible thumping loonies. This is nothing new.

see this guy gets it
At this point it simply is not a matter that would change anything. "Yay, we disproved/proved the existence of God! Now it shall start raining hookers and fudge chocolate!"
Whatever we could learn, it just isn't worth the breath wasted to speak and the time wasted to type. You're not going to think of anything nobody else has thought of yet, and thus the argument remains stagnant and dead in its tracks, like a train filled with rabid animals that'll never reach its destination. So nothing will come of it other than cheated feelings, it will change literally nothing, and it'll just make people feel bad. If you actually want these things, you're a dick, no matter what your beliefs are.
