A little late for a tie-in, innit?
I'm in.
A little late for a tie-in, innit?
They already made one.
I find it funny that the first Avatar film just kind of culturally dropped off after the movie left theaters but James Cameron is still here trying to turn it into a multimedia cultural mainstay franchise with three movies, a theme park, and a new video game all at once This feels so reckless
I wish they would just let avatar go, ubisoft already ran ass creed in the ground. Also they had a tie-in game already.

Now he has a $3 billion better starting point.
I want World in Conflict 2 though.
I can't wait to climb some big trees and floaty rocks to unlock new map segments.
Got really excited, since I love the Avatar universe, then I realized Massive Entertainment is owned by Ubisoft. Into the bin it goes

At the very least, I personally didn't run into anybody after seeing Avatar that was like "Dude, when are they gonna release Avatar 2 already?"
are you implying the new star wars films haven't been successful?
He's just saying it had a higher worldwide gross I think, which is correct. Still has the record.
He's just saying it had a higher worldwide gross I think, which is correct. Still has the record.
Ah I see. If I remember correctly a very large portion of avatar's numbers were foreign with that being said, I think it's really strange they're just starting to do worthwhile things with the avatar IP. It seems as if all this should've been happening a few years ago when people still cared about that world. We haven't even heard anything about the sequels that are supposedly coming being made.
This whole trailer was just buzzwords.
I know less about the game than before I watched this.
If they let us play as the RDA and shoot/bomb the Na'vi I might be interested.
A little late for a tie-in, innit?
there's like four new movies coming out in the next 6 years
If they let us play as the RDA and shoot/bomb the Na'vi I might be interested.
Yes please. Alternate canon from the film where you play as Colonel Quaritch and just hop into a mech and kill every blue alien in the planet.
Whats with all the sudden surge of Avatar stuff again? Didn't that movie come out forever ago?
Whats with all the sudden surge of Avatar stuff again? Didn't that movie come out forever ago?
Disney is finally opening Pandora (Avatar Land) in Animal Kingdom in May, and they are trying to revive the franchise with the general theme park hype.
If they let us play as the RDA and shoot/bomb the Na'vi I might be interested.
In the first Avatar game there was a bit where you're meant to betray the RDA and join up with the Na'vi, but you were able to tell them to fuck off and stick with the RDA. You still played as a Na'vi character but you were essentially just a tall dude rocking a machine gun showing those xeno scum who's boss.
Eh, seeing Ubisoft Massive didn't got me really exciting
They're making the game sound like Second Life but in the Avatar Universe
Loincloth simulator
Whats with all the sudden surge of Avatar stuff again? Didn't that movie come out forever ago?
I think James Cameron just cant accept that nobody cares.
came expecting airbending, all i found was disappointment
came expecting airbending, all i found was disappointment
God, I wish Avatar: The Last Airbender got a notable and worthwhile game. Only game that comes to mind is the Legend of Korra game by PlatinumGames, and even then that was a small $15 action game.
Did people really like avatar that much? I thought it was pretty meh, and I certainly don't care that they are "bringing the world to life" or whatever
James i dont know how to tell you this but i think your window for capitalizing on the success of Avatar closed about 4 or 5 years ago.
