I can't help but worry that France is going to make the same mistake we did and refuse to tactical vote out of principle.
Young people outraged & smashing property once again because they didn't get it their way. What a surprise.
le pen is probably going to win.
"Melechon or Bust" boys
Welp this and Melechon not endorsing Macron is extremely bad.

i'm currently searching for a loophole for Mélenchon to win
le pen is probably going to win.
It's incredibly doubtful. Hillary's lead over trump in polls was about 2-3% and we ran off an election not based on popular vote either. Macron's lead over le pen is 26%.
fuck this shit, have these idiots ever realized that sometimes you have to bend your principles a little to prevent greater disasters from happening? I swear to god, if this results in Le Pen winning, France is fucked
And people were saying Le Pen would never win. And now we're here.
"We've learned our lesson," man says increasingly nervous man for seventh time this year. The apathy to vote created by this 'assured victory' mentality until it gets to this point where many feel no possible enthusiasm to vote is a trend that keeps happening.
I hope to God Le Pen loses and France is the one to end this trend once and for all.
I think le pen has way more of a chance than people give her credit for, voter apathy is a huge problem right now

Who?
People always said le pen had a very high chance of getting past the first round
fuck she even UNDERPERFORMED slightly compared to what polls said she would do.

If anything, we've already had signs of that, since Geert Wilders' party didn't win the Dutch national elections.
viva la democracy

wait that's spanish
Boohoo your far left candidate will not be making it to the second round :'''(((
Democracy suxxx Dx
Choosing to abstain in voting, in situation where you have 2 bad candidates, one of which is less evil, and other one is much more evil than other one, you should or even have to vote for the lesser evil, because there is really no other choice when one of those candidates will be a president anyway, you just have to vote for what will have less minuses.
I also like the assumption that Melenchon wasn't an evil lol.

Melenchon is just your typical social democrat, nothing special IMO.
I like how people called him far-left though, while his policies are lefty they are definetly not far left lmao.

That is problem with most plurality systems in general and one of my reasons to hate all them. And politically emotions are way powerful than what system force you to vote.

:disappoint: You really want drive them away like this attitude again and ironically let Le Pen win by landslide without let them have chance to teach them about Marcon supposed ok policies. :disappoint:

And what happen "let not treat France 2017 election like United States 2016 election and United Kingdom's Brexit" attitude.

Uh, no, Melenchon is nothing like reasonable social democrats. I'd happily take a Martin Schulz.
Melenchon's policies and ideas are mostly a list of great ways to kill any chance of France helping itself long-term. Leaving the EU if he can't strong-arm what he wants from them, 100% marginal tax on those with over 360k yearly, multiple labour law changes such as a 32 hour maximum work week to make france even less of an attractive country to do business, etc..

You're not a socialist to be in favour of business, but the people. I don't know much about German social democrats, but modern social democrats in general are a disappointment. In practice, many of them are just social liberals.

Well, socialists don't want private businesses. But they can be pro-business, market socialists for example believe in business that are run by cooperatives. They can also be pro-business in a sort of "Let's make the best of what we have under capitalism" sort of way.
What I meant by what I said is, he wants to give the French people good jobs. To do so, you want France to be a good place to create jobs conductive towards that goal. They aren't in conflict inherently

Okay yeah, but you really have to compromise otherwise you might have huge swaths of peoplee out of work, or worse bankrupt the country.
democracy is great but only when it gets me the outcome that I want is the message im getting from these protesters
what children
I can't reason why people seem to want a repeat of the first half of the 20th century.

Because that's when [country] was great!

it's not a popularity poll, it's a voting poll. A lot of people hate Macron but will pick the least of evils. It doesn't mean he's popular.
