Hey guys - a friend and I have been working on a game engine for a few months now, but we've only just now found facepunch. I'd love to get some feedback from fellow creators on our progress so far! Our blog is located right over here, and the latest post is on a pathfinding implementation I recently completed. If you scroll on down that page you can track our work from day 1.
Here's a video I used in today's post, to give you some sort of idea (sorry for the low resolution and framerate, the screen cap software is tricksy):

We try to make our posts as media-rich as possible, so there are plenty of pictures and videos after each break. Let me know if you have any questions, or if there's anything you'd like to see more of!
First I would like to say "Welcome to Facepunch." Don't look at my post count.
I hope no one says this is in the wrong area, but they will. Prepare yourself. (Games are art)
About to check out your blog. I've done pathfinding in 2D, but never 3D.
Thanks! Until this week, I'd only ever done pathfinding in 2D as well.
I'm not sure, but if this is a continued dev log them I believe the Showcase subforum is more suited to this type of thread.
If that's the case, I'll repost it over there and direct all future posts to that forum. Thanks!
Your site needs something more stylish.

Great work, I'd like to know how this works (hint hint), or a demo or something.
A* path finding works in both 2D and 3D.
you just need a 3D grid.
You guys should definitely make an rts with different layers, a vertical aspect.
Sorry, you need to Log In to post a reply to this thread.
