Morgan releases first few production EV3 all-electric 3-Wheelers

Morgan’s first production version of the EV3 takes the form of this Selfridges Edition model. Happily, the car brings over most of the sleek design features of the Geneva show car with minor changes. The car now features two lights in the grille, solid disc wheels, rear-view mirrors, a natty windscreen and splash-guards over the wheels. This model also doesn’t seem to have the hard passenger seat cover and adds an additional roll hoop for the passenger.
The Morgan EV3 is expected to achieve a range of 150 miles a 20 kWh battery pack.

It's cute. I've always loved Morgans.
But 150 miles isn't a great range - I'd expect more out of a 3 wheeler.

It's okay for what it is. Probably wouldn't use a car like this as a daily driver anyway. But it only has a 20 kWh pack so can probably recharge it pretty quick.
I genuinely wonder how many of these EV variants will sell.
I've always loved Morgans ever since I first heard of them. I would especially love to have one of the v-twin 3 Wheelers which have a marvellous sound and look like such a blast to drive, but they cost $100,000 here. I wonder how many of these EVs will sell because a huge part of Morgan's appeal today is their conservatism - everything from their styling (ironically, they were once ahead of their time), to still being made out of wood, to the entire hand-built assembly process. This EV is the exact opposite of the reason why people buy Morgans in the first place. Hell, if Morgans were exempt from emissions testing, I reckon that they would still use carbureted engines.
Well, only 19 are being built so it shouldn't be too hard to sell enough to be worth their time
Why? The best part about the three wheeler was the V-twin engine from a Harley.
I wonder if Hammond will talk about this or review it on the Grand Tour. He likes these 3 wheelers.
