Turkish mortuary alarm to detect life among the dead

A local council in central Turkey has built a morgue with a warning system, in case apparently dead bodies come back to life.
The Turkish Anatolia news agency reported the mortuary's refrigerators are sensitive to movement inside.
A cemetery official said the slightest motion would set off an alarm.
"If the patient, proclaimed dead by doctors, awakens from a state of unconsciousness, then we consider each and every possibility," he said.
The official, Akif Kayadurmus, added that the refrigerator doors were kitted out with internal door handles.
The mortuary in the municipality of Malatya province, has a capacity for 36 bodies.
This is fucking smart. Now lives could be saved.
Yeah all those dead bodies coming back to life! SO MANY LIVES TO SAVE!!!
Edit:
This is a pointless measure for something that so rarely happens and is not 'fucking smart'.
Actually, in the past people were accidentally declared dead all the time, that's why there were bells over graves for the longest time though history, so the "dead" could ring it if they woke up.
I'm not sure if it's a large problem in Turkey, it could be if their medical technology is outdated enough.
Yes it's 2011 now, we aren't limited to holding a mirror to a person's mouth to see if they're breathing or not.
My point is that it's a pointless waste of time and money for something so remote to happen.

As the saying goes, better safe than zombie.
Hope they have a solid supply of shotguns.
Three birds with one stone, save people who are just thought to be dead and give mortuary workers a chance to ready their guns when an actual dead person comes back to life. [sp]Also will stop zombie movies from using the old zombie on a slab cliche that starts the ball rolling.[/sp]
It's just an ethical name for the Zombie Awareness-Defense System
Do they not embalm the bodies?
You're all saying this is good because it alerts us of the zombies, but if you've read the article it states that there are inside door handlesz.

It's forbidden in islam

Turkey is ahead of it's time in preparing for the inevitable zombie apocalypse.
They don't want to be a Thanksgiving Dinner for undead.

Somebody say Velociraptors?
what if a body twitches.
im no expert but don't bodies sometimes twitch up to a couple days after death? how sensitive is "the slightest movement" because im pretty sure if someone woke up in a morgue they would freak the fuck out anyway

im pretty sure being a mortuary they will know more about this stuff than most and will have made adjustments for it.

so just because it doesn't happen often means that the poor guy who goes "dead" completely unnoticed should wind up buried alive to save money
a++ logic
Wasn't this already done but in a cemetery instead?
I remember hearing about a story about a guy in a coffin woke up to see that everyone thought he was dead. This could still save lives.
