So I've always had a hard time sticking with a name because my interests are very eclectic and I can never seem to find one that really identifies with who I am entirely. So I wanted to do a bit of a poll hoping people would help me in picking out the best one!
Ideally I'd like to have a name that somehow carries a spacey, neo soul, futura type vibe to it (most of my music have brainfeeder style beats and that spacey sound. plus its always something ive liked)
As far as my actual name its not that theatrical sounding, however my middle name "Amar or Ammar" i've contimplated using
Some of the names i've come up with :
Astroblack- The name I'm currently sticking with now, inspired from the Sun Ra and Qausimoto song. I have a bit of a fascination with space and the idea of the final frontier, which can have multiple figurative meanings like referring to my future,plane of thought, etc.
Amistad- Just sounds nice and is also a reference to the ship that was carrying african slaves that actually revolted and took over the ship in an attempt to head back to africa, but ended up landing in America and being forced to slavery.
Protege-A name that goes in hand with the quote "I am still learning"-Michelangelo,at age 87. not really feeling this name anymore but basically it was suppose to have this meaning that I was also going to remain a learner of the earth and its teachings etc. rather than proclaim myself a master
Cosmosis Jones- referrence to Osmosis Jones, kind of like the Astroblack name but just different. Has a nice rhythmn to it and sounds like a stage name.
Lastly there was MovEon (pronounced moh veon) just kind of sounded decent and were the words move on said differently
