Constant repetition leads to stagnation of the joke.
The further a "meme" distances itself from the source of origin, the more likely it becomes less of an inside joke amongst smaller cultures due to expansion and mutation(In most cases, this being a decaying level of quality). But that's just my opinion. I fear opening this video will lead to cringe.

The only meme I have really liked was Polandball, and that's because a good few of the new ones are done very well and not many of them are too formulaic, lots of them are unique historic references.
I'm not sure if it's a meme, I'd have to say more of a fad, but I've always had a soft spot for badly drawn sonic.
They were never funny.
When Reddit catches wind of it.
The lifespan of a meme is usually dictated by how fast it makes it way to social media?
wow, first time I've ever heard anyone pronounce "doge" correctly
When people start saying it in real life outside of context
offtopic but, why do people pronounce doge as it's spelled as if it was completely serious instead of "doggie"?

I fear for the future of inside jokes, because social media has made the half life of a meme about a week. That's now. At this rate, we're gonna come to a point where a meme is dinosaur bones in mere hours.

The ability to realize monotony is a sign of intelligence.
