I know this was probably done before, but i love a good chat about Parkour.
Tomarrow me and a few guys are going to go practice our parkour at a few playgrounds and soon after do some real parkouring in more urban areas. Does anyone here parkour or free run or have any interesting storys or what ever?
When i parkour i like listening to Breaking Benjamins newest album Dear Agony, do you guys like music when parkouring? I dont know why im asking, just curious i guess.
What type of shoes are you using?
I use Nike Air's.
right now i used any old shoe to parkour but im saving up for some Nike Free Runs. I heard those were great for parkour.
My Vibrams (FiveFingers) save me day after day when I do my season. They have to be one of, if not the, best shoes for parkour.

I do free running now and then. Usually alone so that I can be with myself and my music. Really I just like to listen to calm lyric less music. Basically anything that can give me a heightened sensation of the experience.

Also I bumped this thread because I didn't want to just make a new one when there was already one here.
Feiyues = the best shoes for parkour.
Leo, what city do you live in? I'd recommend finding other traceurs in your area and training with them. A lot of places have lessons for beginners to teach you the basics so you don't hurt yourself.

related, i wanna learn parkour though.
I just went through a sort of life changing experience (a break-up with a serious girlfriend, among other things) and as such am starting a bunch of hobbies as a way to stop gaming so fucking much... I'm signing up for ninjitsu courses, starting running, playing some bass, and, most importantly, doing some parkour.
I was under the impression that nobody just went out and did parkour, but instead it was among a few things that gymnasts and acrobats and similar things did.
I would love too do parkour, but i live in New Zealand, Rotorua. :D Quite the average sized town, but no Urban packed areas too parkour in. Any suggestions on how too train if you live in a kinda village?
Walls, metal rails, playgrounds, skate parks.
is anyone near staines that would like to join my freerunning/parkour group

westside massive
Bump. Where can I train in a small, 'object-lacking' town?
Tree's?
I do some stuff in my Gym and fitness classes, nothing huge due to lack of anything decent to go off of. I'd love to get into it more, though, my town has some decent spots around and i'd love to get back into it once warm weather hits.
Living in a neighbor hood filled with trees, hills, and lakes... it's kind of hard to find a place to parkour here. That's if I ever wanted to start trying anyway. :(
fuck conditioning is hard to remember to do :v:
I did last tuesday, wednesday and thursday's conditioning, skipped thursday by accident this week
