IGN been hyping it up all week, here's the video they been hyping.
Since it has been announced for PC I'm SO FUCKING HYPED it hurts
I'm really disappointed. They hyped the multiplayer reveal up so much, I was expecting Metal Gear Online. The multiplayer component looks cool but it wasn't MGO.
The motherbase-stuff seems super-interesting in addition to the (most likely) already massive campaign.

Ever since it was announced for PC I've been more hyped than normal, the wait for it to come out feels so long. Just confirm a release date already and I'll be happy.
I can't believe horse shit is an actual game play mechanic.
holy shit the mission ending music it's like a mix of battlefield 3 and rtc wolfenstein
i really hope you can in-depthly customize the look of your soldiers and big boss, would fit well with the whole invasion thing.
I like the face wraps they're wearing in the thumbnail.
i really don't like the idea of people just stealing my shit all the time [editline]21st August 2014[/editline] i really can't be bothered stealing my stuff back. i'm sure i'll be too concerned with the main story
i really don't like the idea of people just stealing my shit all the time
i assume there must be some sort of option to opt out of that stuff. any game that has that sort of gameplay that i can think of has always had that option
Gotta say it looks fucking amazing.
Man I'm conflicted. The trailers paint a picture of serious tones and subject matter but the gameplay has loads of wackyness to it, even for a MGS title. I'm still gonna buy the shit out this but taking out motor patrols with horse shit oil slicks and fultoning a full platoon before transitioning to cutscenes about torture, rape, child soldiers, PTSD etc etc feels really...odd.

You go from Quiet having somebody violently try to drown her to her fucking bouncing off of soldiers goomba-stomping them one after the other in a bikini.
i dont like some of the wacky shit but thing is mgs is definitely a game where you can take what you want from the gameplay and ignore the rest. also allows you to use whatever play-style you want eg. i will pmuch just play the story all the way through being a ghost as much as possible and without using any silly stuff like horse shitting and attaching goats to helicopters but that's just me
REALLY? It's gonna have a PC version? I'm a little outdated. :v: I have been wanting a PC version of the series for such a long time.

I want to be hyped, but I can't even get any MGS game besides the first one to work and I don't have a PS3 I really want to play the game and I can now that it's coming to Steam, but I want to know the story :(

Half the fun of MGS is the goofy stuff.

TACTICAL. HORSE. POOP.
the way he destroyed that helicopter was badass
I was a long time Splinter Cell fan because I never owned a console. Now I can't fucking thank Kojima enough to release MGS5 on PC. Blacklist returned to a better stealth game but this is miles ahead of it.

Emulating them is... not an exact science, even less with 3 and Peace Walker. Your best bet is really a PS2 or 3 for the full experience. The games are all fairly self-contained, though.
The E3 gameplay made me super hyped. This just makes me even more hyped. This looks so fucking fun and amazing.
Honestly I must be the only one who isn't a fan of how that jeep reacted to slipping on a single pile of horse shit. Come the fuck on, really??? [editline]21st August 2014[/editline] Also wish everyone actually reacted to any screams heard from people you decided to fulton up. Doesn't make sense to hear a guy you didn't bother to knock-out yell on the way up, and then have none of the soldiers in the same area react at all. Could just be that they're only focusing on the goofy stuff right now though, so whatever.
They probably are considering all the theratical trailers have been super serious and I think a lot of people's concern was that the game was suddenly going pure serious. I agree with that jeep bit, I was expecting them just to get out and complain about the stench or have to clean it out or something.

Could just be that they're only focusing on the goofy stuff right now though, so whatever.
that's definitely not going to ever change. the game is goofy and is going to stay goofy. and i dont think it would ever be fun for npcs to notice the gigantic as fuck loud as hell balloon flying in the sky effectively showing exactly where you are, either. I mean im all for realism in games but to an extent. this is as good as they could get it without removing the fulton or it getting reaaalllyy annoying. and i am fine with that i personally love how the game doesn't take itself seriously.
i think the goofiness in the ultra realistic setting makes it all that much more appealing i'd rather have it than another boring war game with good graphics
