Tensions between Tehran and Riyadh have flared after Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal said Iran was "part of the problem" in Syria, Iraq, and Yemen while insisting that Iran withdraw its "occupying forces" from these three countries.
"Saudi Arabia's foreign minister says Iran is part of the problem not the solution. That's strange; everyone knows that the IS group was created with your petrodollars," Khatami said, adding that everyone also knew that every act of terror in the Muslim world was also funded by the Saudis.
"The reality is that you are not only part of the problem, you are the entire problem!" Khatami said.
The "biggest supporter of terrorism" [Saudi Arabia] had called the "biggest enemy of terrorism" [Iran] the source of regional crises, "Kayhan" said.
Iranian newspaper "Kayhan," considered a mouthpiece of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was even more scathing about Al-Faisal in its October 16 editorial.

I doubt Iran is supporting IS, considering how they're a majority Shia country and IS is Sunni-based.
Saudi Arabia, don't kid yourself. We all know you sponsor rebels/terrorists like ISIS.
Man the Middle East is a political clusterfuck. I remember early on in the ISIS conflict, the US and Iran were in talks about allying together and using special forces to start hitting ISIS. Now Iran is opposed to the US intervention all together and is back to wagging its finger at the Saudis again.

I came into the thread to say this.
No way Iran is supporting them.
Um, guys read the article, op made up the title. Saudis aren't accusing iran of funding ISIS. They're calling out shia groups in iraq, yemen and syria that are funded by iran and iran is like 'lol, you don't get to talk, you created this mess'.
I mean, considering how Iran has had a history of frosty relations with Sunni governments in general, and the fact that ISIS are pretty much known for going on Shia killing sprees, it is incredibly unlikely that Iran would want to have anything to do with ISIS whatsoever. I have no idea if Saudi Arabia has any part in financing ISIS themselves or not, but they are most definitely talking shit in regards to Iran.
Saudi Arabia is a heap of shit. Blaming Iran, who do they expect to believe that.
Iran is funding a lot of shit. ISIS is not amongst that shit.
Considering ISIS' love of killing Shiites, I somehow doubt Iran is a big supporter.
However, I don't think it matters that much. They're self-funding now, and aren't dependent on outside donors like Al Qaeda is.
The Saudis are pointing fingers because, this time, the group that they're supporting is turning around to bite them on the cock.
Why would Iran be funding them if they've already deployed troops to fight ISIS?
