PLEASE BE WARNED. THIS THREAD MAY CAUSE EMOTIONAL DISTRESS TO CERTAIN READERS. THIS IS PURELY INFORMATIVE. I WILL POST ONLY FACT, NOT OPINION. I DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR EXTREME DETAIL. THIS IS JUST A STARTING BASIC POINT IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO RESEARCH.
Now, please note that I have not copied any information. This is all in my own personal words and research on the massacre. For my information, please visit the Wikipedia page at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Columbine_High_School_massacre
The shooting took place in Columbine High school, Littleton Colorado.
Firstly, I want to briefly mention the killers.
17 year old Dylan Klebold
Dylan was 17 years old at the time. He was not on medication as Eric was. He, unlike Eric, did not fully support the Nazi movement as it seemed Eric did. Some believe that Dylan was slightly "brainwashed" by Eric. During the shooting, Klebold used a sawed off shotgun and a 9mm TEC-DC9.
18 year old Eric Harris
Eric was 18 at the time of the shooting. Eric was using antidepressants before the massacre. At the time, he used a sawed off pump action shotgun and a Hi-Point 955 Carbine Rifle. (9mm).
The Victims
This picture displays all 13 deceased victims. This excludes that last 2, Dylan and Eric.

The Massacre
Deceased - 15 (13 victims)
The massacre was roughly 1 hour and 20 minutes. It was planned to be a bombing, but the 6 propane bombs did not go off. Eric Harris fired a total of 121 rounds. Dylan Klebold fired 67 rounds. The main, most horrific and gruesome part of the massacre took place in the school's library. The full phone call of Patrica Nelson has not been publicly released, but it records the library massacre (audio). There are however versions of the call ending as soon as they enter the library. Dylan Klebold killed himself with a 9mm round to his right temple. Harris used his shotgun to kill himself with a shot through the mouth.
Pictures I am leaving out several famous pictures. I want to show you new pictures that you may have not seen. Search "columbine massacre" in google images (no safe search) for those.

I will not post the dead bodies of the shooters. If you want to see them, I am sure you can find them.
If you would like to see a short security tape (no attacking on students) please go here:
The killers throw a pipe bomb and half detonate a propane bomb.

Thank you for reading and I hope something like this will never happen again. Unfortunately, other instances have happened. Such as the Virginia Tech shooting. If you would like to see my source/where I researched, please visit this more detailed website. http://acolumbinesite.com/
This is a tragic event and I hope I have opened you eyes to some of the horrible violence that some people and unleash. We live in an imperfect world.
Thanks, but we know.
Why do we need a thread.
It's still pretty sad though....

Insensitive bastard.
:smug:
We had a dude come to our school with "Rachel's Challenge", the idea that Rachel Scott had, to start a chain of kindness. Was sad :frown:
Thanks for the information about an event (however tragic it was) we all already know about, and if we were truly interested in it we would just look it up on wikipedia.
Thanks I never knew what the columbine massacre was until this thread.

We accept your apology. Try not to do it next time sport.
I found this educational game that showed me how the 2 students thought and operated the massacre.

At first it was in the form of a bad-age boys thread.
OP got me all excited, bad-age boys haven't been around forever.
The story of that girl named Cassie was touching, but just downright stupid. Mainly because she made a stupid decision. She knew she was going to get killed if she said yes. And she did say yes. It's not martyrdom because she wasn't sending a message and she wasn't making any type of difference. I think it would have been better if she kept the death toll lower. Plus, I'm sure her family and friends were in serious emotional pain.
R.I.P Cassie Bernall. It was a brave move, but saying no would have had a much better result.
Is it April already? Usually don't see these threads until 4/20

actually the whole thing is a myth. it never happened.

That is debatable. Pretty sure some other girl is also credited for it.
Those guys are a bunch of OG's.

not really debatable as to who was asked that question. the only person who asked if they believed in god was Valeen Schnurr. she answered yes, and they didn't shoot her or anything.

That's a myth, the killers asked that to only one other person and they survived.

The following is an image of the deceased gentlemen: Do not click this
Dylan's autopsy summary:
1. Through and through close contact large calibre gunshot wound involving the left side of the head (region of the left temple) associated with: A. Brain injuries - lacerations and contusions B. Skull fractures
C. Subdural hemorrhage
2. Aspiration blood lower airway and lungs
COMMENT: The autopsy findings in this case reveal that the cause of death is due to brain injuries secondary to a close contact, large calibre, through and through gunshot wound involving the left side of the head. This gunshot wound is consistent with self-infliction.

What's that written on Dylan's shirt?
Any more videos of stuff like the pipe bombing? I don't really want to look it up, because if it has bodies in it, the pictures are way more detailed than the grainy black and white videos. I hate gory stuff, which is why I don't want to come across any pictures.

I remember playing that in class once.
The teacher told me that while amusing, I better not get caught by anyone else.
