A remote-controlled helicopter that crashed near a prison in Ratchaburi was being used to smuggle mobile phones and phone parts worth millions of baht to inmates, police said yesterday. Seven mobile phones, four satellite mobile phones, a number of SIM cards, eight mobile phone batteries and three mobile phone screens were found among the wreckage of the helicopter, Ratchaburi provincial police said. The smuggled phones and parts were worth a total of Bt2 million (S$84,000) to Bt3 million, but could have fetched as much as Bt10 million on the prison's black market, police said. Police said the wreckage of the remote-controlled chopper was found 500 metres from Khaobin Central Prison, but there was no sign of its operator. The objects intended for smuggling were stored inside a shockproof box attached beneath the helicopter, they said. Police said they received information that the chopper was supposed to drop the box into the prison's Zone 4 or 5, but had crashed before it could reach the prison.
http://news.asiaone.com/News/AsiaOne%2BNews/Crime/Story/A1Story20110926-301483.html Dude must had been shit at controlling RC helis.
Asia you so dumb wait
They should've used a plane it'd be easier to fly than a helicopter.
Sounds like something out of GTA.
Sounds like something out of GTA.
What, those RC missions in San Andreas? DON'T EVEN TALK ABOUT IT. HARD AS FUCK.

It's a pretty neat way of smuggling you have to admit, I mean have you ever had a satellite phone up your ass? Doesn't tickle.
What, those RC missions in San Andreas? DON'T EVEN TALK ABOUT IT. HARD AS FUCK.
The one where you have to blow a construction site up in Vice City is worse.
The one where you have to blow a construction site up in Vice City is worse.
Vice City sucks. woopsies, I maded FP mad.
Vice City sucks.
Okay.
Those things are hard to control with cargo.
on the prison's black market, police said.
Wait, what? How does that work?
This is a pretty neat idea to smuggle things in, but it really seems like it would be very noisy. A large RC glider seems like a better idea to me. holy shit those must have been expensive phones if they added up to $84,000, and why the hell were they dropping phones that expensive of an RC helicopter into a prison?
holy shit those must have been expensive phones if they added up to $84,000, and why the hell were they dropping phones that expensive of an RC helicopter into a prison?
The phones probably only cost like $30, they get that expensive because they are so hard to get into prison. Supply and demand. (the way I am posting makes me seem like I did time...)
-snip- im dumb
Just like on the outside.
Then that's one shitty prison. As far as I know, inmates do not get money at all. That means the guards there never do regular checks and if they do, they're really shit at it.

Whether in a prison or on an island, there will be a trading system. Prisons are not exempt. Depending on whatever country you're in, prisoners can earn money to buy things like paper, pencils, televisions, computers (this is not easy in any sense of the word). Prisoners can be some of the most ingenious and crafty people when it comes to sneaking items and messages around. If you educated yourself about any prison system you would know that no system is impervious to any of this. Stop being ignorant and read up or watch a documentary or something.
I found footage of the helicopter crashing :v:
The one where you have to blow a construction site up in Vice City is worse.
My god THIS. I tried probably 50 times before I finally got it. The San Andreas ones were bad, but they had nothing on THIS. Odd they put it so early in the game too.

They might not use money in the traditional sense, but they all have items of value. Cigarettes are the most common, as well as weapons or drugs.
The trick was to land the plane on the ground close to it, and then start to shoot when you have a clear line of fire and aren't moving.
The one where you have to blow a construction site up in Vice City is worse.
Bullshit, that was easy

At least that's what I've always said and totally didn't make that up just now.
That made me laugh way more than it should have.
