That's awkward. Never heard of it, and now it's gone.
Starting up Chrome feels so... empty now.
That's awkward. Never heard of it, and now it's gone.
wasn't useful anyway. it's sorta-spritual successor is google now, which is useful.
Was my homepage for 6 years. Now I use protopage.com as a substitute. RIP.
I ditched iGoogle a while ago. All I ever did was swap gadgets around and was never satisfied with it. I'm much happier viewing my web apps through different tabs.
Ahhh, I remember this back in the day.
i remember my school didnt block igoogle i played the NES mario portal all through break
Yeah, my school blocked every game website known to man, but iGoogle. Man hours reading horoscopes playing so oldschool classics.
i remember my school didnt block igoogle i played the NES mario portal all through break
Oh shit a hacker Please dont hack me
My school blocked iGoogle. And if you accidentally went to iGoogle you couldn't get back on Google and were forced to use Bing or something else unless you found the stupidly confusing link to change your setting back to Google.

I had so many gadgets on mine back in 07, it took 3 minutes to load the page. Ah, the days when Speed didn't matter to me.
My dad still used it until today, I guess.
imo iGoogle was really a relic, the whole thing was very 2005
imo iGoogle was really a relic, the whole thing was very 2005
Today I don't even have a homepage, when I launch Chrome it just reopens whatever tabs I had open when I quit it [editline]1st November 2013[/editline] The closest thing to a homepage is the "new tab" screen
I still had some use for it, but when they announced it would shut down all the useful widgets stopped being supported, only then iGoogle became useless to me. I'll miss it, being my homepage for ages, now I have none, just Opera's speed dial.
I used it until I got the message of it being depreciated, then I got used to not using it. Really, all I ever used on it was the gmail, youtube, translate and the calender apps.
My friends dad had it and I thought It was so cool, personally never used it Sad to see something that he'll miss
Didn't they announce it's closing like 3 years ago? I remember thinking to myself "Pfft, 2013 is so far away!"
Didn't they announce it's closing like 3 years ago? I remember thinking to myself "Pfft, 2013 is so far away!"
I think so. I remember quitting iGoogle a long time ago because they talked about shutting it down.
My homepage is en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random Now whenever I start my browser I learn something new.
and when i just did it now. the first page to come up was nazis
I used this for ages and I'm totally going to miss it. It was a great way to check out mail, weather, all that stuff in a second at the start of the day and then move on to the rest of the internet.
My homepage is en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random Now whenever I start my browser I learn something new.
Mine is the Youtube sub box Well it was until they decided to delete it in favor of a single column list which takes way longer to navigate
Mine is the Youtube sub box Well it was until they decided to delete it in favor of a single column list which takes way longer to navigate
Install Youtube Center for Firefox/Chrome. It changes it so they appear in a grid, not a list.
I remember the hamster widget being the only thing I could do in school
I used to use iGoogle to check my stocks, and do currency conversions and shit without having to search all these things through Google itself. It was really handy to have all my junk consolidated on one page.
I never understood the whole point to web apps on a desktop, its like how yahoo and msn have those web slices links or whatever it just doesn't make any sense Google now on my phone is useful, I get weather updates where I go, movie listings with reviews on it, restaurants near me and how long it'll take me to get back home, only problem is I wished it used Australian transport because finding out train and bus details would be a god send
