I've looked into a few options, but they all either have reviews saying their quality is reduced, or it wants to install some extra bullshit, that I can't be bothered to faff about with. Any help? Thanks. [editline]14th October 2011[/editline] Whoops, typo in the title, but I'm sure you get the gist.
Well you can join mp3s without affecting the quality, but they will be joined one after another, no transition or anything. What exactly do you want to achieve, if your sending them somewhere just use a zip, or 7z file? I wish I could explain better but if you really want to know look up "lossy encoding" in google.
just use audacity and drag them together one after another if you want it as one song. If by file you mean a folder, just number the songs (make sure you use 0 (as in 01, 02) for the first few)

No, but you want to obviously.
Well no, I was after some way to automate it.
You could probably make it automated by using a macro and audacity.
Yeah if you ever want to split them back in to separate files again, that will be a huge task.
