I think this belongs to Fast Threads. Either way, for being an RU, you have to do something respectable (duh), such as I remember, one of the persons of FP got RU cause he survived cancer. For goldie, win a contest or something.

Respected nowadays is like, massive massive imformative threads, Gold Members you win through like competitions by Hezzy or something :/ see News Node for game contests, they sometimes give out Gold Member to the people who win 1st place.

RU means you have to actually care about the threads that you make.

Well for one, you certainly do not ask for/about it.

Respected user, you have to provide new, fresh content to the forums on a regular basis, e.g. Weaboo Weaponry/Fantastic Firearms or be awesome like stupid07er and kick cancer's ass. Gold member, you have to impress the mods somehow, e.g. the mod riddle, great lua coding skills. Something along those lines anyway.

RU - Do something, well, respectable. For example Stupid 07'er made a thread about his journey with cancer. There aren't a lot of respectable users for a reason. GM - You use to be able to buy GM status, now the only common way to get it is to win the occasional Moderator Contest. Titles - Be a whiney bitch or do something that genuinely makes people stop and say "Wait...what?"
