Robot Wars. Remember this? It was hosted in its first year or so by Jeremy Clarkson. But then he was replaced by Lister from Red Dwarf.
It was a show about people building incredibly intricate roombas with axes on top of them (then making them smash the FUCK out of each other.) Am I the only one that laments this show's demise? It was awesome! Robot Lobster v Mechanical Cheese battles were the bomb! Remember the team that kept insisting on putting polkadot fur on their robots (and then putting them in an arena full of fire vents?)It's that sort of inanity that made Great Britain great, people!
This show was THE BOMB. If it doesn't make you nostalgia you have no soul.

They've started showing Robot Wars Extreme on Dave recently (every week day at 6pm I think). Not quite as good as the earlier series but still a lot of nostalgia there.
Not sayin I found one to be better over the other, but yeah, basically same show

I loved this show, but the pit kind of ruined it, they would just push the other bot into t and it would all be over with a little puff of smoke. Same with bots with those flip-things, they would just flip the other over.

Although I disagree, even with the pit and flippers it was still cool, it WOULD be awesome if there were more robots with FLAMETHROWERS and CIRCULAR SAWS instead of just fliphurrrrs.

Hahaha fuck. This is the one I was talking about in the OP. Every match it fought in it fucking burst into flames. The owners of it tried to sabotage their opponents. They had a flag over it saying "YOU ARE GIRLY BOYS" The owner of it wrote for the Robot Wars magazine, and wrote that their opponents were "girly boys"

I've also seen Mr.Psycho (one of the new house robots) in person. It's HUGE.
