I've been making music for the better part of ten years now, and I figure: Maybe I ought to share a few recent creations here!
Also please imagine that the thread title says "contemporary".

This is from February 2010, a sort of magic collaboration with an instrumental friend (who really needs to put out an album sometime). He provided the guitar track with the intention that it be spliced up and sampled, but I loved the entire piece so much that I ran with it. Everything that isn't guitar is mine.

I provided this (rather long) remix in October 2010 for my partner-in-crime Casey LaLonde, and his In June single. Delving into a sort of synth-rock-IDM style here, and basically just having fun with his sounds.

This one's my most recent, and the shortest. I just installed EastWest's Symphonic Orchestra Gold yesterday (tip: stalk their mailing list for 40% discounts), and spent the night producing this obligatory "new toy" test. What better way to break in an orchestra than with a couple cinematic clichés!
I think three's enough for this post, don't want to overload it. I'll post more works in here later on.
This isn't really IDM to me.
The drumwork is a little boring
[editline]31st December 2011[/editline]
Other than that the melodies are basic but still quite nice and same goes for chords.
For IDM, work on more interesting synths, some glitchier drums possibly, and more weird melodies

Welp, thank you for the honesty about the drums! The In June remix is a track I've always second-guessed - Some people dig it, others pass over it. I should have posted something more IDM-centric.
I have been playing with different synths/glitchy drums more recently, but I've been stockpiling my most recent work in an effort to get an EP together. The more I think about it, the more I realize this kind of thread is kind of pointless unless I'm constantly releasing new work, and I don't want to just be posting the tracks that I've already posted up on my SoundCloud. v:v:v
