Holy shit, I never realized the level of ARG that was involved with DX1.
It might seem like a weird complaint but it bothers me on how the video is about the first Deus Ex yet they use Adam Jensen on the thumbnail instead of JC.

Having good old blocky JC wouldn't bring in as much $$$
that stuff about the secret services and the white house is crazy. I knew about the towers thing, which is crazier, but the government involvement thing is entirely new to me

Knew each and every one of these facts.

If you haven't checked out "The Nameless Mod" I really recommend you to do so. It's one of the highest quality mods out there and is just as good as the game it's based on. You don't really have to know anything about the Deus Ex community itself to enjoy it, though it might be a bit hard to get into at the start.

The way all the forum members have a role in the game, no matter how small, really brought me back to the old forum days where everyone could come together to create something cool. It really made the world relatable and likable. Well, time to replay it.

What if Facepunch made its own Source engine mod which would include all sorts of notable facepunch members wrapped up in a story line.

Completed almost as many times as the main game and the amount of choice involved is great to say its just a mod. Some pretty solid humor although some if it can be dated since it was in development for like 9 years.
The only facepunch game I want is "Fuck Shit Up".
I'd be more of a fan of "RAYHALO's Magnificent North Korean Adventure".
Wasn't there a [sp]"stay loyal to UNATCO"[/sp] story branch that got cut? There should be a mod to try and restore it.

And it captures the Deus Ex mood perfectly imo
Wasn't there a [sp]"stay loyal to UNATCO"[/sp] story branch that got cut? There should be a mod to try and restore it.
there were plans originally to do it but there's no way it was done to a state where people could dig it up and just "restore" it
there were plans originally to do it but there's no way it was done to a state where people could dig it up and just "restore" it
Yeah I meant do it from scratch, IIRC there are just some dialogue tree remnants in the game.
