http://rt.com/news/207991-russia-iss-us-space/
Fruitful cooperation between the Russian and US crews at the International Space Station should become a template for relations between Moscow and Washington, cosmonaut Oleg Artemyev told RT as a new mission prepares to head to the ISS on Sunday. Artemyev believes that lack of consent between politicians is what prevents humanity from moving forward and starting deep space exploration. “Both Russia and the US have technical capabilities [to move into deep space], but there’s no understanding that we need this. Of course, it’s easier to start a war and pump a lot of money into it than invest into the space industry,” he said. The cosmonaut has called the International Space Station (ISS) “a diamond of international cooperation” where the current tensions between Moscow and Washington aren’t felt at all. “Space unites us all,” he explained, stressing the need for “more space projects that would make the people understand that there’s no need for confrontation.” “I lived in the American segment [of the ISS]… and I communicated with the US, European and Japanese crew members, and it turns out that peace and family values are of prime importance to all of us,” the 43-year-old said. Say that to the Great Leader
Always will have a certain level of respect for cosmonauts, if Putin wasn't such a pigheaded show-off who knows what we could be doing together to reach for the stars again. :(

It's not like it's Putin that forced the sanctions either. So it's not like good guy US is trying to do all it can to make countries cooperate, but bad guy Russia spoils everything.
A man of reason

Not to mention let's be serious here, your government has had an ongoing conflict in the Caucasus region for decades now. We just don't hear too much about it.

http://online.wsj.com/articles/obama-details-plan-for-forces-in-afghanistan-1401234489 Yeah we do have a conflict in Caucasus. I am not saying conflicts are bad. I am saying that both sides are unwilling to cooperate.

Russia deserves it

Russians and Americans need to stop pointing fingers, realize that we're not all that different, and work together for a better tomorrow.

Everyone is guilty. But somehow this thread begin with Putin shaming, not Obama/Merkel/someone unwilling.
Everyone is guilty. But somehow this thread begin with Putin shaming, not Obama/Merkel/someone unwilling.
god forbid the country that invaded and annexed another nations soil be shamed and condemned. how unthinkable of an action coming from the evil west!
Everyone is guilty. But somehow this thread begin with Putin shaming, not Obama/Merkel/someone unwilling.
Putin's being shamed because he's a fucking asshole. God where are all these pro-Putin posters coming from.
Can you just not do this, every thread? Seriously get off the guys cock.
I just can't see people believe that Russia is the only non cooperative one. I seem to annoy you, I would suggest adding me to your ignore list.
God where are all these pro-Putin posters coming from.
Russia?
I am saying that both sides are unwilling to cooperate.
I blame that on a cold war rhetoric that never seemed to fade, just was hidden under the doormat.
god forbid the country that invaded and annexed another nations land be shamed and condemned. how unthinkable of an action coming from the evil west!
Cooperation should go from both sides. And if they BOTH refuse to cooperate - it's stupid to blame only one side. And what the hell does Ukraine crisis have in common with this? [editline]23rd November 2014[/editline]
Putin's being shamed because he's a fucking asshole. God where are all these pro-Putin posters coming from.
Wow, you've seen Pro-Putin in the post that doesn't even imply that. How marvelous.
I just can't see people believe that Russia is the only non cooperative one. I seem to annoy you, I would suggest adding me to your ignore list.
Countless examples have shown that Russian state(!) media twist truths and even stage events. The Urkainians are said to be nazis, ceasefires are never broken by the Russian side etc. That is why I can understand that you say Russia isn't the only uncooperative country. I'm glad that you phrase it that way because it means you see Russia is doing some nasty stuff. [editline]23rd November 2014[/editline]
And what the hell does Ukraine crisis have in common with this?
The crisis in Ukraine and the sanctions are the direct cause of the deterioration in cooperation in space.
In response to U.S.-imposed economic sanctions against for Russia’s annexation of Crimea in Ukraine, Rogozin threatened to stop carrying NASA astronauts to the ISS on Russian Soyuz spacecraft, and to stop selling Russian-made rocket engines to the U.S. government and contractors.
http://dailycaller.com/2014/11/17/russia-will-launch-its-own-space-station-by-2017/
The crisis in Ukraine and the sanctions are the direct cause of the deterioration in cooperation in space.
Can at least one thread that touches Russia in any way be clean of two sides calling each other "western obama monkeys" and "putin cokcmonglers"?
Well if Obama stopped all the wars US is fighting then US would have more free money then Russia ever invests in space.
Cooperation should go from both sides. And if they BOTH refuse to cooperate - it's stupid to blame only one side. And what the hell does Ukraine crisis have in common with this?
cooperation is difficult to hold with a nation which constantly has bullshit coming out of every orifice and goes around annexing ports. are you suffering from chronic russia did nothing wrong syndrome because none of this wouldve happened if russia didnt throw a metric ton of gasoline on a fire.
Can at least one thread that touches Russia in any way be clean of two sides calling each other "western obama monkeys" and "putin cokcmonglers"?
I wouldn't know how, do you have an idea?
Can at least one thread that touches Russia in any way be clean of two sides calling each other "western obama monkeys" and "putin cokcmonglers"?
Where in that sentence does he say anything even remotely like that? Avoiding the facts 101
I just can't see people believe that Russia is the only non cooperative one. I seem to annoy you, I would suggest adding me to your ignore list.
One person said Putin. One. and the moment he said it you went on a tantrum about the US from some reason
The Urkainians are said to be nazis,
I'd just like to say, that while the Ukrainians are not necessarily Nazi's themselves they uses large numbers of neo-Nazi militias.
I for one will definitely support further study and research of deep space if it gets Zerg to stop going on long-winded tirades.
Can we stop the finger pointing and just space? Ty
