We want you to think about what’s important to you – not how you’re going to get to and from the polls. That’s why we’re offering new Uber users rides to and from the polls for free up to $15 each way on October 19th across the Canadian cities we operate in.*
that has to be the clunkiest title I've ever read
This isn't a bad idea, but 15$ isn't going to get you very far, especially rural voters
and only if you're a new user. Which is reasonable. But you could've made this title not as awkward as a bronie with a fedora.
If you are a new user, in the us your first ride is free anyways... I mean it is nice they are doing this regardless the limitations

If you use the $30 free ride, it's either you use all of it or you don't.
kind off topic how do you use Uber can you just call them ( don't feel like doing it by app ) and can I pay by cash and debit/credit,.
You have to use the app, Uber drivers aren't allowed to give their numbers to passengers. All of it is paid by card, no cash.
is it at least a normal debit/credit machine at a store or some add on on a phone,.?
is it at least a normal debit/credit machine at a store or some add on on a phone,.?
The way it works is you link your credit card to the app and it authorizes a payment every time you request a car, so in that way it cant take your payment without you first calling a cab. On the app, after you link up your card you can estimate the fare cost before you request a ride. When you request the ride, you are given the details of the driver, their car make/license plate # and an approx. time of arrival (as soon as a driver is found) as well as their review score from other uber users (out of 5 stars). When the ride is completed, they send you an email with a breakdown of the total cost and an opportunity to rate the driver. I've used uber a few times now and every time it's been cheaper than a cab would be and the drivers are always very friendly.

I use it on a regular basis (along with a rideshare guy when I need 25$ roundtrips) and it's always cheaper than a cab, friendlier than a cabbie, and the cars are undeniably nicer. GPS map shows you where you're going with an estimate, and I see the option to sync a Spotify playlist so I'm assuming they'd accommodate that as well. It's really a lovely app for consumers. I hear some horror stories from the drivers online but it works. We just recently got it back here in town. Saved about $10 over a cab today. The distance was about 4 or 5 miles. 13$ and change.
Uber has exceptional pricing, for a 18km ride it only costed me $23AUD (You get $10 off your first ride in Australia) You also get to check your history as well which is amazing, you can't do this with taxi's [t]http://i.imgur.com/cnb1R17.jpg[/t] and some in-depth history as well [t]http://i.imgur.com/a5ZwatN.jpg[/t]
