Ringo Starr to get animated with new 'Powerpuff Girls' role

The new role is a return to animation for the former Beatle. He also narrated the stop-motion animated series "Thomas and Friends" from 1984-1986. “We're going on tour with the All-Starrs that you came to see this summer in America,” he said.He also said he's looking forward to the upcoming Ringo Starr and the All-Starr Band tour in New Zealand, Australia and Japan beginning in February.

Their was a Anime for PPG Called PPGZ, which gave a back story to all the villains and made "him" just really, really evil. Even made a Cross over in the last episode briefly to pay tribute to the original series.

The PPG writers had [i]such[/i] a fanboner for the Beatles. Seeing Ringo get onboard for a possible return is a pretty good sign of it staying true to form with the original series.
