I've started, in a slow sort of way, the new CD I'm making,” he said. The disc doesn't have a title yet, he noted, “but we've got plenty of time.” The 1 1/2 minute video clip also revealed him taping his part for the role of Mr. Fibonacci for “The Powerpuff Girls.” “It's gonna be great next year. I'm going to be animated,” he said. The new role is a return to animation for the former Beatle. He narrated Harry Nilsson's 1971 feature film "The Point" in addition to playing himself in The Beatles "Yellow Submarine." He was also featured as the voice of the cartoon Scouse the Mouse on record in 1977, though the project never made it to film. He also narrated the stop-motion animated series "Thomas and Friends" from 1984-1986. That series was widely seen in the U.S and his episodes have been collected in a three-disc DVD set. “We're going on tour with the All-Starrs that you came to see this summer in America,” he said.He also said he's looking forward to the upcoming Ringo Starr and the All-Starr Band tour in New Zealand, Australia and Japan beginning in February. They're bringing back Powerpuff Girls? Fuck yea.
Well he was the conductor in that Thomas The Tank Engine TV Show, I could see it
They're bringing back Powerpuff Girls? Fuck yea.
This actually makes me really nervous.
who the hell is Ringo Starr?
He was in a band called the "bugs" or something.
who the hell is Ringo Starr?
You have much to learn, young friend!
who the hell is Ringo Starr?
He starred in an odd film as a neanderthal, as well as being in the aforementioned band. Although I think it may have been the "scarabs", not the "bugs"...
He was in a band called the "bugs" or something.
I thought he was in the "rolling rocks" or some shit you know they had all those songs about pies in america and times of the season [sp]please dont take this seriously i really do know my 60s/70s music honest[/sp]
I think we all know. Unless thisispain is really without this basic knowledge...
Enough jokes, he was the bassist in The Beetles. They made that song Daydream Believer.
hell with powerpuff girls give us samurai jack back
He was in a band called the "bugs" or something.
No no it was 'The Dungs'
They're bringing back Powerpuff Girls? Fuck yea.
At this day and age, bringing back should be the same as "turning it into something completely different"
"Many one of them, live next door and the band begins to play..." I can just go on.
He didn't play himself in yellow submarine, all 4 of them were played by actors.
give us samurai jack back
A movie is in preproduction.
It's quite obviously the beat-alls!
What a sad ending. :(
Yes he did
That sequence was the only one the real Beatles were in, in the actual movie they all had voiceactors.
I saw him earlier this year, he still looks really young until he strips down to a tshirt and you can see his flabby grandpa underarms
Yes he did

The new role is a return to animation for the former Beatle. I wonder who's going to be "him" the original "him was just creepy but weird. Their was a Anime for PPG Called PPGZ, which gave a back story to all the villains and made "him" just really, really evil. Even made a Cross over in the last episode briefly to pay tribute to the original series.
Ringo Starr! Hey Wait a minute... That's more like it! [sp]No it's not the real Ringo[/sp]

The PPG writers had such a fanboner for the Beatles. Seeing Ringo get onboard for a possible return is a pretty good sign of it staying true to form with the original series.
who the hell is Ringo Starr?
The Narrator from Thomas the Tank Engine.
