Assumption College Student Writes Letters Of Support To Norway Massacre Killer Breivik
WORCESTER (CBS) – A Worcester college student claims he has been writing letters of support to the man who admitted to killing 77 people last year in Norway.
Norwegian newspaper VG published an interview with Kevin Forts, who, according to his Facebook page, is from Shrewsbury and attends Assumption College.
“I decided that what I would want to do is try to help him ideologically by sending him letters showing support that I believe that he is a nationalist and a patriot and not the terrorist neo-Nazi that the media portrays him to be,” Forts told VG.
In the interview, Forts defends the views of Anders Behring Breivik, who is currently on trial for committing last year’s massacre.
Breivik is accused of setting up a bomb that killed eight people in central Oslo and then shooting 69 others to death on the island of Utoya at a political youth camp. Most of those killed at the camp were teenagers. It was the worst peacetime atrocity in Norway’s history and one of the deadliest shooting sprees in modern history.
Breivik has claimed self-defense, saying that he rejected the authority of the court because they get their mandates from “Norwegian political parties who support multiculturalism.” Breivik claims to be part of a militant nationalist group fighting a Muslim colonization of Europe.
In the interview, Forts defends Breivik’s killing of children as “necessary.”
“It was a necessary political sacrifice that is not necessary again,” Forts told his Norwegian interviewer. “I believe that it was atrocious but necessary in that it’s raised awareness.”
Assumption College has issued a statement on the interview.
“Kevin Forts has expressed his personal opinion on the Breivik case, and as a U.S. citizen, he is afforded that right. As a Catholic liberal arts institution dedicated to the moral, intellectual and spiritual integrity of the human person, Assumption College condemns the violence that occurred in Norway last July and does not support the opinions expressed by Mr. Forts. The College extends its sympathy to the victims of the violence and their families.”

Dear Mr. Forts.
I'm more interested in the fact that there seems to be an actual catholic private college called "Assumption."
I'm not sure if the word "assumption" belongs in the context of higher education.
"moral, intellectual and spiritual integrity of the human person"
How the hell can you be so blind to something so blatant. What is it that makes killing people morally right?
-snip what am I reading-
Seriously, I love Norway for being a very good and proper democratic country, but I would just love if the Delta police team would just show up and whisk this guy away. Defending the murder of 60+ children is incomprehensible.
uhm worcester is in massachusetts
uhm worcester is in massachusetts
I haven't slept for 25 hours, I think I'll turn in now.
I saw this guy and his interview the otherday, he fucked up when he said he supported the killings because they were necessary.

Zombies.
Get fucked in your eye socket, Kevin Forts
What a massive, shit-eating cock.

Oh yeah, and the guy looks like a shitstain on society as well, I guess.
In all seriousness though fuck this guy
is there some exception to assault laws if the person is an incredibly horrible excuse for a human being, such as supporting a terrorist who killed 77 kids in cold blood
if there isn't, there should be
because I really want to punch this guy in the face
His face reminds me of generic stuckup Ivy League assholes that are portrayed in comedic media.
Ahaha from Worcester, I'm somehow not surprised.
Use of the word 'necessary' in this case is despicable, it was in no way necessary for 77 people to die for the sake of someone's paranoia and racism.
I can sort of see what he's saying in that he may not see the killings as morally just, but saying Breivik doesn't have anything in common with the neo-Nazis is just plain retarded
Oh yeah, and the guy looks like a shitstain on society as well, I guess.
He looks literally like the most average college kid ever.
I don't think Jesus would support killing others because they have different political ideas..

He does see them as just, but only this one time. He said they where "a necessary political sacrifice"
I don't know what killing 77 innocent people makes Breivik if it doesn't make him a terrorist, kid.
This guy is totally and utterly retarded

“Do not think that I came to bring peace on Earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household. He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me. He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it.”
Matthew 10:34-39
[Jesus] said to them, "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one..." The disciples said, "See, Lord, here are two swords." "That is enough," he replied.
Luke 22:36,38

Jesus was fucking crazy. He is no model for pacifism or morality.
How can anyone see this as good or even support him? It's unbelievable.

had to pick up my bible and actually find the last one, funny thing is. the headline is called "TEACHINGS ABOUT LIFE'S PROBLEMS" more specifically, most, if not all of the bits in those sections are about violence or adultery. examples, "Adultery, Death, Adversity, Deceit, anger, divorce..." the list goes on

Sex and Divorce are not solved by running someone through with a sword.
I don't know if you are able to watch this outside Norway but here's a video interview.

Eat a big pile of shit and die, if you please.
I believe that he is a nationalist and a patriot and not the terrorist neo-Nazi
It's funny because in order to be a neo-nazi terrorist, you have to be a nationalist and a patriot.
I agree that there should be a political-religious revolution of sorts, sooner the better, but murdering innocents isn't exactly the way to go about it. (Like Osama Bin Laden)
Then again if murdering innocents, and thus gaining a worldwide attention and publicity for your ideologies, so if all that doesn't cut it, then I don't know what would. Another I have a dream type speech? I don't know :(
How could Forts actually believe that Breivik brought attention to anything other than his and other extremists' (Forts) mental instabilities? I wish this could be rectified by education but he is definitely the kind of ignorant sociopath who will never admit to their wrongs and can only be forgiven/forgotten once beaten and or disgraced.
Disregard mass killing.
"Oh hey he's a pretty cool guy!"
