id love to have this... it just needs the shell
That is awesome. Can't wait to see the visually appealing final version.
MALFUNCTION That made me crack up :v:
FSSSSSS *POP* *Top flies off* One second delay "Are you still there?" I loled.
as cool as it is, seems like its a waste of bb's for how inaccurate it is, and I imagine people would shoot the shit out of it/the laptop. still awesome though
I'd love to have something like this for paintball. And not tell any of my friends. Just set it up while they're not looking.
To be honest they overdid the gun, they can buy a cheap AEG from walmart or something, and just connect wires to the switch where the trigger should be. Much simpler, although I think the bullet hose effect of this turret is pretty menacing.
This was made years ago and I tried copying the design for my own airsoft team. Problem was I didn't have the stuff necessary to make it. They sell them if I remember right.
i wasn't expecting that at all it, looks awesome so far!
looks a lot more painful also this is a year old and it's finished afaik
at first that looked painful as fuck, but I lol'd at 3:05
I have to say. Its impressive. Surprised somthing like this isn't already government funded.
I have to say. Its impressive. Surprised somthing like this isn't already government funded.
They can't fund something like this unfortunately. It's illegal to create any kind of automated war device, it's why UAVs today still require an operator, other than to make sure that they're doing their mission properly. The operator is there legally so that it still has a human in the loop, so it's not completely autonomous, even if it's just pressing the fire button while the UAV finds and targets things on its own. If I remember correctly, a few years ago I heard about a project from the South Koreans to put turrets on the DMZ, I don't know what's going on with it right now though.
By far the funniest part is that it malfunctions twice in a row and next time the top is covered with duct tape
Someone care to explain how this works? I'm assuming the Portal sounds are a separate thing then the program that's operating the gun. So basically the person just has to point where the target is, or is it automated?
Motion tracking
More like it just needs its Chell.
Only problem I see with this is the possible uses for things OTHER than airsoft...
That is so awesome!
didn't someone make a paintball portal turret before? I remember it was way better than this [editline]7th February 2011[/editline] nvm post 13
