In case you'd like to know what it feels like to watch an English movie without understanding the dialogue...
That's how I spoke "English" when I was like 4-5 :v:
Very frustrating. Like watching a film, but the volume was just about too low and it is therefore nearly impossible to catch the longer words.
It's a simple yet interesting idea. I like how when you turn it up they say words like 'ratatchwizzle'
"you fucking asshole" is the only thing I can with 100% certainty say I understood
This is pretty much what I hear when I don't enable subtitles

Is better
that made my fucking day
What the hell is going on.
a lot of the shorter words were actual english though
Haha, transcribing the audio makes things even better.

I think I laughed harder than I should've.
Anyways, someone should come up with some made-up captions for this video. Here's an example of what I'm talking about:

Minus the special effects and video clipping.

Reading posts from the Fast Threads section is just like that. It looks like English, but it's hard to make out any coherent sentences, and it's impossible to catch longer words due to their absence.
My boyfriend was watching this with me but kinda walked in when I was already watching it so he didn't know what was going on. He watched it with me for like 2 minutes before asking "wait so what is this?" I explained and... he didn't even realize they were speaking nonsense. He felt he could understand what they were saying...
I'd be a pretty interesting experiment amongst friends or family to download this movie, remove any giveaways that this is in fake english (maybe even the title of the short movie in the beginning) and show it to unknowing friends/family just to see whether or when they notice that something is up and what it is that is not quite right.
I bet most people will when they notice they don't understand what the characters are saying tell you to turn up the volume.

It's the trailer of The Sims 7: strained Relationships expansion
Pineapple Cake™ comes free with Origin preorder or will be available on the store for 6000 simpoints
2:12 "we dropped the party hat"
Why the hell would you do that? I'm not surprised she got so pissed off at him.
Wow, that cake looks just like a pineapple!
