I haven't seen a thread on this yet so I'll make one

Wilfred is a half-hour, live-action comedy about "Ryan," a young man struggling unsuccessfully to make his way in the world until he forms a unique friendship with "Wilfred," his neighbor’s canine pet. Everyone else sees Wilfred as just a dog, but Ryan sees a crude and somewhat surly, yet irrepressibly brave and honest, Australian bloke in a cheap dog suit. While leading him through a series of comedic and existential adventures, Wilfred the dog shows Ryan the man how to overcome his fears and joyfully embrace the unpredictability and insanity of the world around him.

Wilfred is based on the critically-acclaimed Australian series of the same title and was adapted for FX by David Zuckerman (Family Guy, American Dad, King of the Hill). Zuckerman also serves as Executive Producer along with Rich Frank, Paul Frank and Jeff Kwatinetz of Prospect Park and Joe Connor and Ken Connor of Renegade, producers of the Australian version of the series. Jason Gann serves as Co-Executive Producer. Co-Executive Producer Randall Einhorn directed the pilot plus nine additional episodes of Wilfred’s first season and Victor Nelli, Jr. directed three. Wilfred is produced by FX Productions. The Australian version of Wilfred was written by Jason Gann and Adam Zwar, directed by Tony Rogers and produced by Jen Livingston.
Wilfred comes on at 10pm est. on FX
(Also I appologize if this isn't a great OP, it's my first ever real one)
Sounds trippy.
My sister says it's good but I don't trust her judgement since she enjoys watching reality television
The premier was pretty funny, I might start watching this.
pretty funny
pretty funny show, i will be watching this along with louis c.k. back to back on thursdays (finally gives me a reason to watch tv again).
i recommend watching the Aussie version first. same actor for the dog too, he's great.
[sp] I loved the part where they go get wilfred's ball, only to just steal marijuana and shit in that one guy's boots.[/sp]

I also Feel Obligated to show you what Ryan (Elijah Wood) Did before this show.

Don't forget about The Good Son
Sin city.
I like it. :)
[sp]The suicide scenes at the begging were really well done in a dark humor sort of way[/sp]
I saw the ending of the premiere [sp] Where the dogs tells him to live or whatever, and then the hoobit and the dog shit in the guys boots.[/sp]
I liked the dark feel of the show but I really didn't find it that funny but I watched the previews which showed a lot of jokes so maybe the next episode will be better.

...you do realize other really great celebrities like Jack Black and Andy Samberg have also guest starred on Yo Gabba Gabba, so whatever you're trying to say with that is retarded. It's a kid's show.
I don't really see the point in America completely recreating this show. Especially if they're just going to get the actor from the Australian version to star in it.
Never the less I will check it out.

Dont diss Yo Gabba Gabba, most of the time they have really cool guests on that show, also the co-creator is the leader of one of my favorite bands

If you can get past the kid bullshit Yo Gabba Gabba is actually a decent show compared to the rest of the shit they run today. It isn't as good as REAL kids shows that I grew up with, but it's decent
I've heard Wilfred is good, but I always miss it because it's on at the same time as Futurama.
Great show.
I only watched the pilot of this but so far I actually prefer it to the Australian one for some reason
missed it again, goddammit
[editline]2nd July 2011[/editline]
gonna have to put a series recording on this one
Watching the first episode on Hulu now.
Funny as hell so far

for some reason? because its better
edit oops i misread ur post i thought u were saying the australian version was better. because it is. american one is worse.
All my friends are purists and say the Australian one will always be better because its not a shitty American remake
I can kinda see where they are coming from due to some really really crappy american remakes and the implication that it means the producers can't think of an original idea, but there have also been some great ones and I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on Wilfred, looks great

I found the acting in the australian one awkward
like nobody really wanted to be there
