Very interesting talk
I knew alcohol is a lot more dangerous a drug then what people actually believe, but I had no idea ecstasy and a lot of other drugs were that much more safe than alchohol
Indeed. Such information is rather hard to come by or often ignored due to the taboo nature of drugs in society I think.
David Nutt is a cool guy and is going to help lead the way to the post prohibition era based on science, data, and rationalism, not sensational fear mongering bullshit rhetoric like "OMG ecstasy makes holes in your brain."
Dunno if you guys saw Drugs Live: The Ecstasy Trial http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drugs_Live was a live show in the UK starring Mr Nutt amongst others
There is apparently going to be a follow up where volunteers smoke strong "skunk" cannabis. Should hopefully combat the general ignorance of many in this country on the issue of cannabis http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/news/volunteers-to-smoke-strong-skunk-for-channel-4-drugs-live-show-8926724.html
Lots of people seem to think Gordon Brown was telling the truth when he said "skunk is deadly"
