Ukraine has rejected moves by Russia to almost double the price of Russian gas supplies to the country and threatened legal action.
Ukraine's interim PM, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, said Moscow's hikes were a form of "economic aggression".
His energy minister said Ukraine would try to negotiate a gas deal, but warned that if talks failed Ukrainians should prepare for Russia to cut off supplies.
Moscow says the price change is due to Kiev's failure to pay its bills.
Russia's state-controlled company Gazprom has raised the cost of gas to Ukraine by 81% to $485.50 (£292.86, 354.33 euros) from $268.50 for 1,000 cubic metres.
The increase comes amid tense diplomatic relations following Moscow's annexation of the Crimean peninsula.
This is the point the United States should open up a Marshall Plan of sorts, and start delivering Balkan and Texan gas/oil.
To be fair Ukraine DOES legitimately owe a LOT for the gas they have been getting before and Russia kept letting them to have more and more on debt.
Now when Ukraine closed down all the weapon manufacture deals, it's kinda to be expected Russia won't be as enthusiastic to keep giving Ukraine their gas for practically free.
Ukraine has had a ridiculous debt to Russia for gas before. Them being aggressive on this matter is like those jackasses from real life to whom you loan some money, and stop when they don't give you back, only to be called a jew or something.

Operation Pluto 2: Electric Boogaloo?
Undersea pipelines all the way across, Texas to Europe!
And what the fuck does Ukraine want to do? Force Russia to cut the gas for all of Europe?
This country is starting to become a pest
If they're not paying for gas they're basically pocketing the money earned from domestic consumption.
Could we have another coup before these idiots get me killed please?
Ask Germany, i remember reading about how they had a big enough gas supply to reach 6 million people so im sure they could help Ukraine out.
