Glad I have the original on my hard drive.
I kind of felt someone would do this with Unity sometime. Unity is actually quite powerful. Not sure as powerful as Fox Engine, but powerful.
Not as nice looking as the real thing but that's to be expected. At least the game is preserved in some form
Yes. Yes I did get scared when she snapped his neck. FUCK ME
PuniTy is a clever name
The fact that they were able to recreate the assets as it is, is astounding in the first place. After that they have to tweak and figure out the shaders and all the little details and effects for the optimal recreation.
Jesus fuck, he modeled all that based solely on videos? This guy is fucking amazing.
if you listen closely, you can hear the angry cries of konami right now
A big Fuck You to Konami
if you listen closely, you can hear the angry cries of konami right now*
*A noise also easily mistaken and/or confused with the klings, klangs, and erotic violence of pachinko machines.
So did he recreated all the contents and also encounters though? It looks really good Edited: Aw the download link is down temporarily
Aw the download link is down temporarily
I'm not sure if that's from download traffic or a C&D.
A big Fuck You to Konami
They actually deserve a bigger one, after when they've made an Erotic Castlevania Pachinko machine.
There was also one made in ue4 too.
has anyone actually gotten into the game's files? or are they still locked away? p.t. on mgsv:gz when
I don't know Konami, but if people started to spent their free time rebuilding a demo of a game you are working on i think that would leave quite a clear message that people really want the fucking game. Thank god that Hideo and Del Toro are working on a new game together.
Someone on Polycount started to remake it in UE4 last year, if I remember right he finished towards the start of this year. It looks considerably better than this Unity remake imo [editline]2nd August 2015[/editline] Oops I'm late sorry [editline]2nd August 2015[/editline] http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=140306 the progress thread
Jesus fuck, he modeled all that based solely on videos? I know this is going to sound really vague, but does anyone remember a video posted here a while ago of a guy playing PT and talking about it, and talking about how it was one of the only real examples of a horror video game utilising the interactive aspect of video games to make it scary. It's actually kinda sad because this was before it got cancelled, and he was so enthusiastic about it. I think he talked about FNAF in the same video. I know this sounds really vague, but I think it got a ton of agrees, so maybe someone remembers it. All I can find on youtube are LPers and reaction videos.
I hope this doesn't get cease and disist'd, and I'm pretty sure it will :suicide: [editline]2nd August 2015[/editline] It's actually orwellian about how much power companies and lobbyists have.
Why would it? It isn't using any assets from the game
IT is... the Textures... but that wouldn't matter anyway... Konami will probably C&D it.
Pretty amazing that people have remodeled PT in Unity and UE4. Streisand effect in full action.
Why would it? It isn't using any assets from the game
It'll probably happen, because fuck Konami.
Why would it? It isn't using any assets from the game
Using the name/IP, copying the game is still grounds for a C&D I'm pretty sure.
