i have got this ridiculous obsession with firearms and other weapons. over the past like 4 months i have just learned everything i could on them, at this point I'm actually running out of things to search.
if you asked me in October what the standard issue assault rifle was for the US army was i would have gave you a funny look and said "i dont care" if you told me it was the M4 i would have asked "the one like the vietnam gun but with a square front not a triangle (reffering the the picatinny rails on the m4 and the absence of them on the M16-A1
i know how to operate, maintain, and disassemble an AK (though thats no big deal) an m16, a g36, and a r700.
i dont want to come off cocky but it happened
anyway something like this happened to anyone else
or am i a freak?

i forgot to put in that i never even held a gun which is a big part of it. i doubt i could hit 3 out of 10.
but i know how to operate a semi auto pistol. put in mag, pull back on slide (unless already back), take off safety, fire

You are incorrect unless the pistol does not have a slide lock which most of them do
Keeping the slide closed makes you not able to see if there is a round in the chamber

I really, really hate optics mounted on rifles, though. Zeroing that shit in is a pain in the ass, and maintaining the zero is pretty difficult too (at times). Not to mention the adjusting of the sights for different shots, trying to follow targets when you're hunting, ect. ect. Of every shot I made using an optic that took down an animal, I could have made better with open sights. Much better field of view.
I have a strange obsession with cryptozoology.
Even though the stuff scares the shit out of me.
