I bought a new piece for popper bottles but the hole in the bowl is too big and too much weed falls through, and i was wondering if there was a solution besides packing large chunks then packing the little stuff on top.
Use a screen?

buy pipe screens and put em over, when it gets too clunked burn the ashes off
if that gets too hectic, try aluminum/tin foil, works great for smoking pills but i dont think its very healthy

If you make a foil screen, use tin foil not aluminium foil.

How does one make a "screen" out of tin foil, when I hear screen i think of like the screen on a window, like the mesh stuff.
For those who do not know what a popper bottle (or PB we call em), this is one.

It's essentially a poor man's bong, or for those (like myself) wish to only hide a piece in the house, and then use a bottle then when done throw away the bottle and only have to hold piece.
Screens cost practically nothing, like 5 for less than the cost of a sandwich.

I use these exact ones and they cost me < £1, so yeah it's a negligible cost.

There isn't one exact price of screens, what I'm saying is that you can afford them as long as you have pocket change.

Just fold it so it has some thickness, then poke some holes with a paper clip or thumb tack.
chuck a pebble in there, they're everywhere and work wonders.

if you're really cheap, plug the hole with some rolling tobacco. But in all honesty - get a screen
You don't use a screen with poppers...
Or if you have to be discreet and suck at hiding shit you can pop off the screen in your bathroom faucet.

Also, glass screens are perfect if you don't want to deal with replacing screens as often, plus then it stays all glass

Aluminum, at temperatures below melting point (933.47 K, 660.32 °C, 1220.58 °F), does not give off gas or vapor, and a normal butane lighter cannot melt aluminum. Unless you're smoking with a torch, you'll be fine.
Oh, and aluminum and tin have about the same vaporization temperature.
And for anyone wondering the flash point of butane in lighter is 420C(hehehehehe) (788F)

Any headshop should sell metal(steel and brass) screens in packs of 5 for $1.00 or less, glass screens are $1.50-$2.00 for 1.
