Holy crap. I forgot we had a section for Facewound.
Facepunch is an okay forum I guess.
Facewound was fun game.

at this point it's a pretty impossible community to replace, nowhere else has the same charm.
this completely glosses over version hasselhoff and frankly i'm offended
sidenote: I object to the historical erasure of the furry subforum

Except Gazza is replacing the whole thing from the ground up. Also they're going to die if they're kept like this apparently:
So since the forums are going to die anyway if we don’t do something.. I decided that I’d write our own, alongside the project sites stuff I did for Rust.
which is a shame, because sometimes I'm tired of FP to the point where I want to find somewhere else, but there really isn't anywhere like this that I haven't already tried to stick to before.
I miss facewound.
The redo will be a good time for the reintroduction of Smartness and cryptocoin stealth mining to assist the Dear Leader's finances.

i am fully aware, but fp's charm comes from beyond the pile of trash that is vbulletin. for example, our moderators. you won't find any cast of mods that could even come close in other communities. they all have the mindset that you must be 100% professional and friendly to everyone no matter what, whereas here those who deserve to get shit can and will get shit.
our mods are both fun and efficient (most of the time). they get the job done and can have a good laugh while doing it.
Holy crap. I forgot we had a section for Facewound.
Making some TF2 based mods for the small Facewound section back in 2008 made me learn to use (a pirated version of) Photoshop. 6 years after that I got my first job as a university student with a marketing department, where using Photoshop was a big part of that.
That was a fun forum section, shame most of the mods were also uploaded on Megaupload :~(
Bring back smartness
:v:
It's scary to think I've spent half my life on these forums now. I know a lot of people will be unhappy about the change to the new forum but like is said in the post, it'll probably die if it doesn't evolve. I look forward to the move personally, and maybe in another 10 years it'll be sat in the middle of a new blog post.
Garry why is your avatar so fucking gay
The two column design
gosh I miss that
I wonder how many active members from 2011 are still here
I have been active this whole time, It's hard for me to remember those old versions though
What a goddamn timemachine. I can't believe so many of us are still around after all this time and recognise the different phases the forums went through. The custom forum thing was a very interesting addition.
I wonder how many active members from 2011 are still here
Plenty, I think :v:
I wonder how many active members from 2011 are still here
Lots, I'm sure.
I wonder how many active members from 2011 are still here
...and how many are still lurking.
Pretty sure newpunch will end up alright eventually
funny how the colour style of the forums have been consistent for over 10 years though, real nice to see
good old times
Now do the history of the oifys names. Welcome to the bears asshole lol

garry doesn't make fp_read => users make fp_read a webextension
garry doesn't make fp_read => users make fp_read a webextension
it actually might be the good direction since proper API is going to be made. maybe someone will do their entirely different facepunch wrappers
Read Threads needs to come back in some form, there's no way I'll remember to subscribe to every thread that interests me even just a little, which in turn will result in me forgetting about it completely, especially if it's in a subforum I don't visit often
forgive me for being off topic but what the fuck is your avatar garry :v:
