It's really disheartening to see medical professionals act like this; I've worked alongside some excellent medical professionals but all it takes is one tool like this guy to really damage people's faith in the medical community.

A much less malicious version of this unnecessary surgery to basically cover your ass - in the Sanders-Cruz debate I remember Cruz citing 2.5 times the C-sections in the US as a great sign of service and efficiency compared to the NHS - totally ignoring that unless those C-sections are actually needed (and I doubt the UK has 2.5 times the mortality rate in labour), it's just expensive and unnecessary, and it's not like scars are in vogue.
