It just passed, it felt pretty close to me, everything shook and one of my plates fell. And now my dog is hiding under my feet.
Sucks man, hope your plate is okay.
I felt it, nothing bad on my end, though.
Yeah, I just felt it up here in victorville, It was pretty big. The stuff on my walls shook some, But nothing fell.
Felt it, weak earthquake for San Diego here.
Just felt it. It was pretty big.
It was too small to make a thread about it, but meh, yeah I felt it. I wouldn't have noticed it if someone hadn't said earthquake.
looking here http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqscanv/FaultMaps/116-33.html It says it was a Magnitude 5. Not that bad. Actually 5.9, so close.
Sorry about that.... i guess it does work after all

I thought it was my dog trying to get comfortable as she was laying right next to the couch. I'm disappointed that she did not have the stereotypical danger-sensing dog powers :colbert:

Tell me has there ever been a earthquake in Austin Texas? Yehaw, That was fun :D
You seem to have earthquake info. Tell me has there ever been a earthquake in Austin Texas?
9 October 1902 an earthquake with magnitude about 3.9 occurred about 15 km south of Austin near the town of Creedmoor; this event was felt in Austin. However, there were no felt reports in Austin from an earthquake with magnitude of 3.1 that occurred in Manor (15 km east of Austin) on 1 May 1873. Every few years Austin residents in tall buildings may feel the effects of large, distant earthquakes, such as the 19 September 1985 Michoacan, Mexico earthquake, and the 14 April 1995 earthquake in west Texas. Doesn't there have to be a fault line for there to be an earthquake?
Doesn't there have to be a fault line for there to be an earthquake?
Generally yes some are very deep in the earth and those are the ones you have to watch as they are the ones that usually cause the bigger quakes Seismic activity is caused by many things though, earth's crust moving, Volcanos, Nuclear testing, meteor impacts even large crowd activity... Yellowstone national park is seismically active due to underground volcanic activity and there are faults too
did you say something about this on xbox live? my brother said someone said something about that earthquake on there and it was pretty much the same wording as you used
I was playing TF2 when it happened, the people who I was playing with felt it too.
did sombody something along the lines of, "you suck cause you're in socal?" cause if so then that was my brother
I felt it. My can of cola fell off my desk. :saddowns:
