Anyone else here that is a fan of Coheed and Cambria? I've taken quite a liking to them just recently. About a year ago I heard "Welcome Home," minus the orgasmic intro. I thought that Claudio's voice was horrible, and tossed the band aside.
A few weeks ago I was talking to a few friends and one of them told me to listen to a kickass song. This kickass song turned out to be "Welcome Home." I heard the introduction and was instantly hooked. Then the vocals kicked in, and I remembered hearing the song a year ago. The voice didn't drive me away this time though, and I tolerated it. I listened to the song on repeat for a few hours, and the voice didn't bother me anymore. At least Claudio's voice isn't mixed beyond recognition like every other band out there.
I have grown quite attached to Coheed and Cambria, and have boughten all of their albums to date.
Here are my favorite songs by them, I think they also are the best to draw people in.
Welcome Home

I was into them when I was around 14
Boughten?
Favor House Atlantic.. A friend showed me that song like two years ago and I really hated his voice, But they grew on me, not a big fan though, only like a few songs.
I only like Welcome Home. I tried to get into their other songs so many times, but it just doesn't work out and it would be better if we were just friends

Agree. I like Welcome Home alot. It has a certain feeling to it.
I love them, I saw them live just a week ago at Wacken.
They played:
The End Complete
The Trooper
In Keeping Secrets
The Crowing
Al The Killer
Welcome Home
I think they played one more but I can't remember which.
Meh, they are ok. Even tough I hate the singer's voice.
I have the album Welcome Home is on, but every other song seemed too uninteresting or too bright and pop-rockish.
These guys are the big thing in my music class.
I like them.
But I don't like their super saga or whatever, it just sounds too cheesy for me.
I like them, but I'm starting to fall out of love with both Good Apollos. I do like the Prize Fighter Inferno, from what I've heard of it.
I love them, I saw them live just a week ago at Wacken.

I thought they always played The Final Cut as a closer. =\

Maybe the popularity of having a song on Rock Band makes them think it's better to close with their most popular song.
AFI used to always close with God Called In Sick Today, now they close with either Miss Murder or Love Like Winter.
It's sad in my opinion.
Agreed.
My friend is really into them

AFI was good before they sold out.
I first heard a song by these like a good 6 years ago, The Suffering. I loved it back then but lost it and couldn't remember the name for ages. I only recently found it again. Sounds so different from 6 years ago, but I still like it.

You are kidding, right?
AFI was good before they sold out.
Oh good lord, have you seen the cover for their next album? Or the song titles?
It's going to blow so hard. What a shame.
On topic, Coheed doesn't have a single solid album in my opinion. They have 3-4 great songs on each album and then a shitload of filler.

Progressive Rock = Progressive Rock. People who listen to one Progressive Rock group are bound to enjoy another.
Progressive Rock = Progressive Rock. People who listen to one Progressive Rock group are bound to enjoy another.
Because all progressive rock is the same.
That's like saying someone who enjoys pop will like Britney Spears.

Generally yes. What you are too fucking stupid to understand is that if you like one progressive rock band, there is a high chance that you will like another, even if it sounds different.
tldr; You are stupid.
(User was banned for this post ("Be nice." - Kazumi))
That makes no sense.
That makes no sense.
It does, I don't understand why you can't comprehend it. Quite simple really. If you like one progressive rock band, there is a high chance that you will also like another progressive rock band.
I quite like them. Not obsessive but they're good.
OK band impo. The only songs by them that I really enjoy are Welcome Home and The Running Free.
Another one of my favorite bands
I first heard them in Madden 06. I think the song was Welcome Home. The guitar was pretty cool but I couldn't stand the guys voice. They didn't really impress me.

I agree, I like Muse and I hate these people.
Now if you said "I recommend this to anyone who wants something harder than muse" you'd be right.

For the last gopher gobbling time; I SAID THAT THERE IS A HIGH CHANCE THAT PEOPLE WHO LIKE THE BANDS LISTED THERE HAVE A GOOD CHANCE OF LIKING COHEED AND CAMBRIA.
FU CRYING OUT LOUD!
Claudio was good in Prize Fighter Inferno
but Coheed has more spirit.
and the fact that they sing the stories of Amory Wars brings their music to life.
and Claudio's hair helps out the band immensely.
