i hate the way gaming producers makes 6 expansion packs or DLC's, they are making shitloads of money on it though.
look at world of warcraft, you need to buy 4 damn games to have access to 100% and then you has to buy gaming card(s)

I find a steady stream of small, free updates to be better than a huge singular(though sometimes glorious) shit that costs 50$ every year

Just a reminder, you don't need the expansions to get the new updates, you know. All you're getting are the new zones and races. As for your '50 bucks every year', TBC came out 2 years after the base game. WOTLK one year after. Cataclysm 2 years after that. 3 expansions in 5 years time.

And you're also getting all the quests, enemies, bosses, and items when you buy expansion packs.
I only said "every year" because I have no idea of the actual amount of time between updates but I don't think it's a very good idea to buy the same game over and over again every two years and then have to pay more every month.

Once again, look at TF2. four years running and it's only just given a way to contribute to them besides buying the game, and even that's optional. I'm saying That World of Warcraft is a bit overpriced for what it is.
It's not a content pack, it's just a map pack. Why call it a content pack if it only gives you one form of content?

The DLCs for grand theft auto 4 cost around as much, and with lost and damned / ballad of gay tony you almost got a new game, new vehicles, new weapons, new characters, new missions and new activities. With call of duty map packs you just get 5 maps.
