The match was suspended and the italian riot police had to intervene to stop the violence. At least 17 Croatians were arrested. The counselor of Milan Savina also stated that at least 50 homemade flares were found. Jesus Christ, those balkan football fans know how to throw a party. Serbia was straight-up banned from having an audience from a bunch of rounds this qualification.
let's waste money on tickets to stop a football game that will result in nothing but punishments to our country's football organization good job dudes
Sports fans from any sports always have retards who get mad over their team losing Well partially is that they lost their bet, but then its still silly.
Sports fans from any sports always have retards who get mad over their team losing Well partially is that they lost their bet, but then its still silly.
It's so incredibly rare to see a North American sports fans flip shit to any degree like soccer fans.

It's MUCH rarer to find a riot from, say, the NFL or NHL. Or motorsport in general. Or basketball. Or baseball. I don't get it. What's the difference? Is it just media not reporting the riots from those other sports or are soccer fans a special breed of psychotic?
what a load of baloney we barely threw 3
It's so incredibly rare to see a North American sports fans flip shit to any degree like soccer fans.
Stupid Amerifats don't even know what football is, much less how to throw a riot about it, am I right? Eh?

Smaller countries also means that rivalries are more intimate and intense.
To anyone that actually doesn't watch european football, the experience of being a fan is like watching any sport except you have soap opera novelties involved and fans can actually have an impact in it. It's an actually real reality show.

Remember back in World Cup? Yeah. But then you have lots of friendly matches between countries, and sometimes its not so 'friendly'

I think English Football fans are generally OK both domestically and internationally. The hooliganism that used to plague the game a few decades ago is practically gone.
This riot was probably a planned one, and I think you guys need some context. You see, after following several mass arrests of political figures in Zagreb, it turned out that the chief of Croatian Football Alliance and the manager of NK Dinamo Zagreb, Zdravko Mamić, basically confirmed that he is in fact an oligarch that wants to destroy all opposing football clubs and exploit the CFA and Dinamo in order to launder more money out of it. However, because the CFA was slowly warped into a puppet body of Mamić, the country's biggest competitive network was basically stuck in a rigged system. Needless to say, that massively pissed off everyone. A few days after Bandić got arrested Tribune North and Tribune East factions of the BBB(Dinamo Fan Club) decided to set their differences aside and unite themselves to oppose Mamić's authoritarian control over Dinamo's sudden privatization, the abandoning of Maksimir Stadium in order to pile up money for the construction of Kajzerica Stadium, and the acting roles of the CFA. This culminated in an attempt where several hundred BBB members tried to raid Mamić's mansion, but their attempt was thwarted, first by a police blockade, and later by armed thugs murdering several of their members. Now, all this pent-up rage and the fact that they can't just go up to his mansion and lynch him[sp]which is arguably what the entire country would gladly do to Mamić if the president gave us the go[/sp] led to the BBB and other fans deducing that the only way to destroy Mamić and the CFA is to, well, thwart every attempt at getting the CFA involved into anything, both at a national and international level. The level of efficiency depends on personal opinion, I'd say. It's definitely certain that Mamić and the CFA have no loyal supporters left, but there's no concrete way of taking them out of the picture without committing crimes.
It's so incredibly rare to see a North American sports fans flip shit to any degree like soccer fans.
The soccer fans you see flip shit like this are the hooligans, pretty much nationalists or simply people that like to break shit. For example this is the kind of stuff you get around here when you have fans from countries that dislike eachother, they're going to act like retards
