I'm starting uber driving soon, hoping that I don't have to deal with this shit often. Getting a constantly recording dash cam though... Lucky the guy was recording though, he kept his cool extremely well.

The license generally includes a full background check, driving test and medical check.

This is all from my friend who drives for these companies. She says she's had a lot of Uber drives end in tears while a lot of Lyft customers end up being nice people.

It's a wee bit more expensive, but really nice drivers who've gone an extra mile to help me when I needed it. I generally keep in touch with a lot of them even via e-mail sometimes :v: The one time I took an Uber I got a really angry Lebanese guy who was just having a bad day in general and clearly had some grudge. He was a doctor in Beirut and I think he felt doing this Uber thing was beneath him or something so he was just generally unhappy. Not to mention that Uber does not play nice with foreign credit cards, while Lyft seems to be cool with it.

I remember being in a class and one white girl being super into Indian stuff because her Indian roomies were fascinating, so she came to class one day with a bindi. Some crazy woman in the same class was like "You know that's cultural appropriate and that's bad, right?" and she was actually looking to us as if we were supposed to be offended when we were like "Hey, that's kinda nice, someone's wearing a bindi and enjoying a little bit of Indian culture.
