[t]http://gamingbolt.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/dark-souls-1.jpg[/t]
There we have it. Dark Souls is finally confirmed for the PC. The front cover of PC Action magazine has confirmed the existence of a PC version of Dark Souls. It’s called “Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition”, and it will be released this August. There’s a preview in the magazine as well where they talk about the graphics and other technical things. There are new bosses as well in the PC version, and that should be [probably] enough of an incentive for people to buy it, along with the superior graphics of course. Gamepad will be supported. We will keep you updated once we get more information, but PC gamers, you’re in for a hell of a ride.
Full article at GamingBolt Well folks, it's been hinted at for a while and now we have confirmation. I'm pumped.
Isn't this that game where you die if you make one mistake?
Fucking WINNER!!!!!
YES YES YES
Looks like i'll be needing a new PC... Now the question is, does it have Mod Support?
Holy shit yes! I really hoped that it would come to PC!
Isn't this that game where you die if you make one mistake?
if you die you have to restart it completely if i'm correct, but you have all your items and everything still
YES!
if you die you have to restart it completely if i'm correct, but you have all your items and everything still
No that would be impossible. As you make your way through the world you find and light bonfires you can use as checkpoints. If you die, you return to the last visited bonfire, but your souls drop where you died. You can then run back and reclaim your souls. Items are safe.
Lmao no. This is a normal game, it's just really damn hard. Insanely fun though.

Oh God I can't wait until I get to wield gigantic swords and battle monsters. I really hope they will make a good support though. Good mouse sensitivity, comfortably allocated controls unto buttons, a unique HUD for the PC...
if you die you have to restart it completely if i'm correct, but you have all your items and everything still
It has a checkpoint system, but enemies do respawn. If you had to restart everything every time I'd kill myself (Steel Battalion for Xbox had that, you die once and EVERYTHING, saves included, is deleted, that was hell considering the game was hard too). [editline]7th April 2012[/editline] Quite sure you can forget mod support guys.
Oh bey, I'm really looking forward for this now
Looks like i'll be needing a new PC... Now the question is, does it have Mod Support?
This is the one game where I don't want any mod support at all.
This is the one game where I don't want any mod support at all.
Yeah, I doubt it'd be possible considering how it's a multiplayer game with a somewhat persistent world. I don't see how modding could be implemented at all. Hopefully this is going to be reasonably priced considering how late the port is, I already own the game for PS3.
isn't dark souls the game that kills you if you sneeze or blink without pausing the game
isn't dark souls the game that kills you if you sneeze or blink without pausing the game
Of course not! You can't pause at all.
yeah i've always thought marketing the game as impossibly difficult is stupid, because it's not really difficult, per se, so much as unforgiving. you either learn to play by its rules (and if you do, it's pretty straightforward) or die.

It's a better angle to market it as "Impossibly difficult" than "Really unforgiving but doable". Marketing-wise.
This is a game no-one should pirate. NO-ONE. That would be just so wrong, after all the petitions and such.
Oh shit, I've been praying for it to come to PC since I've first heard of Demon Souls, it was that one game series I envied console users for.
YES! I've wanted this game for the longest time!
Pre-ordering first day it comes on Steam.
Alles Uber Den Beta-Start!
Awesome. It's been a few months since I last got a game, with Deus Ex: Human Revolution being the most recent one. To be honest, all my games have been getting pretty stale, but there hasn't been any new games coming out that have caught my eye. Torchlight 2 was going to be the next game I got, but, if this comes out sooner, then it just may be Dark Souls. I remember watching a video on "Why Dark Souls should be on the PC," and the game looked absolutely amazing. I said it then, and I'll say it now: this is definitely a game I will be buying when it comes out. Here's the video, by the way:
lets hope its optimized and has good controls
I have this on Xbox and after roughly 30 hours of game-play I still feel like I'm at the beginning.

Still very irritating at times but much less so than its predecessor.
