Hello, and welcome to Musician's Gig Room! I wish you welcome to the musicians subforum on facepunch, if you are new, continue reading ; if not, skip to 2. 1. What is this place? The Musician's Gig Room is the subforum for all musicians here on facepunch, where you can share your own music and listen to others. 2. And what is this thread? This thread is sort of a gatheringpoint for all music that has been created here, and also a way to spread your name so that you may gain more publicity and more fans by following other musicians on soundcloud, the most commonly used uploading-site for your music. 3. Wait a minute, what is soundcloud? Soundcloud is by far the easiest site to download and share your music, it gathers how many have listened to your track, how many has downloaded, how many has favourited your track and makes it extremely easy for others to comment on your tracks and pinpoint particular spots in songs they like/dislike. The site's name is http://www.soundcloud.com , I highly recommend this site for all music-sharing (your own that is) needs! The only con is that it compresses your track a bit, but it is most of the time barely noticeable and if people download it they'll get the unchanged track from you. 4. So what if I just want others to follow my music but I don't want to follow others? Well we can't really force you, but it would be really nice if you would because it shows you care, and people like to help people that help them too. Think of it as a win-win, more people will follow you if more people follow other people, because most people are curious and like to check out who other musicians are, if only for a sneak peek on what they do. 5. Ok this sounds cool, I want to do this! Awesome! In this post below will be (ranked by genre, in alphabetical order) where all the musicians in this subforum will be linked, so get in there and start following them all! All I need from you is your genre (for added simplicity, just name the overarching genre so that more people can gather under the banner) and your soundcloud link, I will post all album releases by people in my second post that I make so that this post doesn't get too cluttered with text and link and for easier access. Albums Here you can find all the albums made by the musicians of facepunch, above each picture (click to get to the music!) will be the name of the artist and the name of the album, and also what genre it is. This will be organized depending on genre, in alphabetical order.
Thanks! This post will be added with peoples releases (so same rules apply as in the op), it will be changed accordingly after people start posting them  what is that other link for genre?
I dunno it's random stuff I do. Btw I checked your stuff, and I'm not really into that kind of rock but it was pretty well mixed. Drums are kinda low in the mixes. Oh and I like Vitt Streck quite a lot.
http://soundcloud.com/degge/ I do mostly post rock instrumentals (?), but once I get a real hang off EZdrummer I'll start doing some metal (hate saying that).
http://soundcloud.com/hakita I write MIDI Heavy Metal.
http://soundcloud.com/morganhicks Mostly Electro House/Complextro
http://soundcloud.com/luffymusics luffy, mad scientist of beats
http://soundcloud.com/kylepetersonworks Orchestral/Instrumental stuff.
http://soundcloud.com/itbegins Not just one gerne, electronic still
I dunno it's random stuff I do. Btw I checked your stuff, and I'm not really into that kind of rock but it was pretty well mixed. Drums are kinda low in the mixes. Oh and I like Vitt Streck quite a lot.
Thanks! I am still a very amateur mixer and I always have hard time knowing where to place drums because most time they either start at top or at bottom, I love your stuff and you always have very defined drums even with good melodies still having sunshine, what is your secret?
http://soundcloud.com/gryoss Honestly I can't really tell what genre I do, I always put it under "electronic"
http://soundcloud.com/jonny-kratzel I've just started making Hip-Hop Instrumentals purely out of samples. So far their terrible, but I think I'm gradually getting a tiny bit better.
10 artist already and i now follow 9 more people it si awesome
I don't really know what this thread is for, but I do a lot of experimental/industrial stuff. http://soundcloud.com/holy-helix
my idea for this thread is like a resturant like you go to a resturant to eat right so this forum is that resturant but they want to know what they can eat so they call for the waiter which is this thread and then the waiter says ok so you guys can order this and that so this thread gives them options for what to eat and the people who are about to dine can pick and choose on what they like and perhaps find a new favourite so they perhaps order something they like like a salad which could be electronic music so they see "oh hey that gryoss guy has electronic lets check it out!" and they like what they hear so they think "oh this is a good resturant lets try it again" and they come back and look for more electronic music but they feel a bit adventerous today so they go for hip-hop and oh look there is this great artist who makes these dope beats this is so great so they all tell their friends and in just a few weeks thousands of people book tables at this resturant and this is the idea behind this thread, to make people have one place to find all the great music made here on this forum  in future when people post albums i will update second post with them so they can just go for the kill when they know artist hakita makes these really cool tracks
why can't posts be deleted aaaa
